| F4WOnline.com is reporting that the original creative plan for Drew McIntyre on Smackdown was to hold off on the firing angle until after Over The Limit. The plan then called for Matt Hardy to demand that Teddy Long reinstate McIntyre so that the two could face each other. WWE also talked of making the angle a viral story line by having WWE utilize Twitter to ask Matt Hardy fans to help him get McIntyre rehired.

| It seemed so stupid how Drew was fired and a big deal made out of it, only to be rehired the next week.
I think WWE saw people thinking Drew had been suspended so decided to bring him back to squash the rumors. | |
