| The rumour mill is rampant with gossip he's quiting to try and get into acting (because that was always his strong point in WWE cough). But what if he does an 'Angle' and in 90 days time he turns up on Impact? He's meant to be mightly peeved off at WWE for them replacing him in a film with HHH so could he get revenge by joining WWE's rival? | |

| I don't think he will. It's all about the money for Batista and he wouldn't earn mega bucks at TNA, well not as much as he earns at WWE anyway. | |

| Shroom, I'm not so sure, I'd be willing to bet Spike as well as Dixies old boy would fork out a small fortune for him as well as that mob that pay Hogan
Batista is one of the biggest names in Wrestling, we're not talking about Jeff Hardy or RVD big, where talking about a guy who has been one of the main four go to guys in the WWE for the last four years along with Cena/Orton and Trips
He would be a huge signing, although I'd prefer if they didn't get him.
Also, moving to TNA would allow him to make some pretty good money while also giving him ample time off

| I really hope he doesn't turn up in TNA. I like TNA because the guys there actually have talent, maybe minus the Batista they already have in Rob Terry, so I wouldn't really see the point in bringing him in. | |

| If Batista came to TNA to just kill Rob Terry then I'd be fine with it, Batista does have talent to be fair, he is pretty decent, he just absolutely sucks as a face, if he came to TNA he would need to come with his bad attitude and his character would need to be "I'm too good for this shit hole" | |

| Haven't really seen much of his heel work so am just judging him on pre Rumble, as that's what I have seen. I personally don't think there is any need for Batista. As you say he's not as big as RVD and Hardy, in name term, and they are not exactly driving up the ratings so I can't see what Batista would add. | |

| I think Gaffer did actually mean Batista is a bigger name than Hardy and RVD, I'd have to agree with him as well. | |

| Oh right, I got the wrong end of the stick on that one then I'm not sure if he is, I think more people would know who RVD and Jeff Hardy were than Batista. Me for example, if you had asked me a couple of years ago (when I had stopped watching wrestling) who is Batista? I wouldn't have known. But if you had asked who is RVD and who is Jeff Hardy? I would've known due to watching in the 90's. If they are going for the older fan who has stopped watching wrestling then RVD and Hardy are bigger names. But if they are going for a younger audience who currently watch wrestling, then Batista maybe your man. | |

| Oh Batista certainly is bigger than RVD and Jeff Hardy, RVD has more of a cult following than an actual massive fan base
Batista was second only to John Cena in terms of how over he was with the crowd, while I couldn't stand him, he was seen as the cool brother to John Cena's nerdy character, I think it was his conection to Flair and Trips in Evolution that afforded him that
Batista would be as big a draw as Cena or Triple H in m opinion, I've loved his heel work since the Rumble and this is from a guy who absolutely hated everything about him for the last three years, he has been brilliant, if he went to TNA with a "I'm to good for this fuckhole" character then it would be brilliant, but if he went their and became the uber face I'd struggle to watch it

| I'm not sure Batista is more over than Hardy was last year, just my opinion. Hardy's reaction was huge and just look at Matt now (and he's only his brother). RVD is obviously a different story as he hasn't been main stream for a few years.
If all the names TNA already have, haven't done much for the ratings I can't see what Batista could offer. As he doesn't really offer anything different or worth while in the ring, IMO.
Although saying this, if TNA had the chance to sign Batista - they would jump at the opportunity.

| there is no doubt batista is a bigger star than hardy. when you think of stars of wrestling today you instantly think of jericho, cena, orton, batista, angle etc for me jeff hardy isnt in the league and he is an annoying cunt especially when on the mic and when he was reviewing his match with rvd. |

But if they are going for a younger audience who currently watch wrestling, then Batista maybe your man. Thing is, getting Batista in would give them a draw to some of those who would never watch TNA. You're saying RVD and Hardy appeal to one audience, Batista appeals to another, so what would Batista bring? You're answering your own question there mate, they're cornering another part of the wrestling fan base.

- source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter-- According to those close to Batista, it is not 100% certain that he will be leaving World Wrestling Entertainment, although it is believed that Over the Limitwill be his final show. He was said to be furious that a film project initially based around him was taken from him, particularly since it was at the last minute. He is listening to outside offers and it should be noted that there is interest on the part of TNA. However, the belief is that it is highly unlikely "The Animal" would jump ship to the competition since they would never be able to offer him anything close to what he's making in WWE, which is in the neighborhood of several million dollars per year.

| Batista, imo, would be a major aquisition for TNA. I guess there is a possiblity that we will find out the outcome after Over the Limit. | |

| TNA are looking to cut wages, you can look at this in 1 of 2 ways:
1) TNA just feel they are paying to much on wages for current roster and therefore are looking to cut down.
OR
2) TNA want to cut their wages because they want to bring in dave and they realise his wage demands will be very large and therefore need to make some room for him.
