Goldberg 1 more match?

In an interview with ESPN.com to promote his new show "Garage Mahal" on the DIY cable network, former WWE & WCW Champion Bill Goldberg says he's open to wrestling one final match at next year's WrestleMania from Atlanta, Georgia.

"It's not something that I'm seeking out to do at 43 years old. But you know, WrestleMania is next year in Atlanta. Hulk Hogan and I put 43,000 people in the Georgia Dome with three days notice. I've got a fairly big following in Atlanta," Goldberg said. "Is it out of the realm of possibility? I'd say no."

Goldberg recently began working with WWE again on a new deal for WWE to use his likeness for merchandise (toys, appearing in WWE video games, etc.) and says he'd put himself back in the spotlight so his young son can see him in action.

"The doors are kind of open to negotiation as far as a merchandising deal. If it leads to something else? It's a wonderful day," Goldberg said."If not, I'm totally content with the way I went out. To be able to get merchandise out there not only satiates the fans but hopefully there have been a lot of people wondering where my merchandise is. The reason why I want to do this is my boy; just trying to be a good father."

Yeh i don't see why Goldberg would be coming back for one match to be beaten.

With it likely to be a WCW HOF Goldberg would be odds on to win the next day so being against Taker he would be losing.

Also could they trust Undertaker and Goldberg for a safe match in the ring without it just going through Undertaker's set moves for a match?

They would let Goldberg go over Jericho and have probably the best person for a safe match in WWE.

Has he ever patched things up with Jericho though?

Goldberg has always been about the money, offer him the benjamins to take the three count v Taker and he will do.

hopefully if he did come back it would be for more than one match. i would actually like him to become a part of the roster like in his 03-04 days

hmm with Cena likely to be Taker's 20-0 can we see Cena being away from the title for potentially 2 WM's if Taker vs Cena were not for the title?

Would love Orton to do it actually, but i'm hoping for Orton vs Edge at Wrestlemania

The only thing that could lead to the Legend killer gimmick not ever being used again is that Orton is now one of the very best in the company so often he is 'killing' people worse then himself and he would often be in fueds with washed up people for legends to be available,

People who have been around long enough and are rated high enough to be seen as legends in the 'wrestling universe':

Undertaker - fued needed with current Orton
Triple H - done to death
John Cena (?) - done to death
Edge - fued needed
Chris Jericho - fued needed
Kane (?)

I know it's debatable on Edge, Cena, Jericho and Kane but i'm trying to view it from the point WWE would sell it.

Cena - top of the company, promoted as one of the best all time
Edge - long career and same as above
Jericho - same
Kane - Long career, old gimmick made the character of Kane somewhat legendary

This is all that is left on the roster, otherwise you need to bring in old guys like Goldberg etc for stuff for Orton.

Although Goldberg has been retired for a few years he is still younger than HBK & Taker.

The only reason he did the merchandising deal he says was for his son so that he had extra income, he just says he wants to be a good father now and being on the road for a schedule probably isn't his idea of that so could see a 1 off match/fued but no more.

Which Mania pays in abundance hence why Hogan would always come sniffing around WWE at Mania season.

I#m not the biggest Goldberg fan in the world to be honest so I don't really care if he came back to WWE for another match. Although if he did it'd probably be around 'Mania time and there's only one person he can face at 'Mania in my opinion, Undertaker

I'd not be interested in seeing Goldberg have one last match unless it was at the end of one last run

IMO, Shawn Michaels was more likely to break the Streak than Goldberg will ever be. The only guy who I can see doing it now, in the time Taker has left is Cena. HHH is another possibility but he has already faced Taker, saying that HBK had two cracks at it, why can't HHH do the same? HHH may be the one to retire Taker at a non-WrestleMania PPV though.
