- TNA referee Earl Hebner has been telling friends that WWE has contacted him to return to be apart of the Bret Hart-Vince McMahon angle. Believe it or not, Hebner claims he has been contacted as late as Thursday of last. According to Hebner, WWE would like his services now, or if he can't return now, then in November.
On July 18, 2005, Hebner was fired by WWE, allegedly for selling merchandise without authorization. Of course, Hebner was the referee for the infamous Montreal screw job in November 1997.

| Interesting, to be honest I was really shocked they fired him. I thought he would've had a job at WWE for life seeing as how long he'd been there.
On a side note, I really hope they don't run a screw finish at the 'Mania match. I'm only just getting over the crapfest of the Angle screwjob | |
