Brock Lesnar seriously ill in hospital

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is seriously ill in hospital after collapsing in Canada, UFC president Dana White said Saturday.

"He's in rough shape, he's in really bad shape," White said Saturday after UFC 105.

"He is not well and he is not getting any better. . . . He's very, very sick and he's going to be out for a while. He's got a lot of problems."

Citing mononucleosis, the 32-year-old Lesnar was forced to postpone a title fight against Shane Carwin scheduled for UFC 106 on Nov. 21 in Las Vegas. The fight was pushed back to UFC 108 on Jan. 2, but that too has been postponed.

"He's got mono and he's got something else wrong with him. I know what's wrong with him, he just doesn't want me talking about it," White said.

"He doesn't have cancer or AIDS or anything like this, (but) he's got some problems, man."

White said Lesnar was currently in a hospital in North Dakota. The six-foot-three, 265-pounder owns property in Canada, White added.

"He dropped up there and had to go to hospital," White said.

He said Lesnar may have to go to the Mayo Clinic or another top hospital "to figure out what's wrong with this guy."

"He's not going to be getting well any time soon," White said.

It is being said that Brock Lesnar will not fight for a very long time, if ever again. This is a very serious situation. Dana White will head to Minnesota to meet with Lesnar, and will also try to get him into the Mayo Clinic, or some other top notch medical facility.

UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar's health is much worse than originally thought and it appears Lesnar could have a very tough road ahead. UFC President Dana White told TMZ.com that in addition to having mononucleosis, Brock is "very, very sick" with some sort of intestinal disorderthat will require "major surgery."

White told TMZ that he is going to visit Lesnar in the hospital and is trying to get him transferred to the Mayo Clinic, one of the top medical facilities in the world, so doctors can figure out what to do.

After postponing the Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin fight for a second time last weekend, White now says, "There's a possibility Lesnar will never fight again."

Lesnar is expected to be released from a hospital in Bismarck, S.D. shortly, but UFC president Dana White wants Lesnar to check into the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for further evaluation.

In an interview with TMZ.com, UFC President Dana White has confirmed that Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar who is currently at a North Dakota hospital is going to have surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. White would not go into details of Lesnar’s condition. White state that Lesnar has an intestinal disorder. In an interview with TMZ.com, UFC boss Dana White confirmed that Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is headed to the Mayo Clinic and will require major surgery. White wouldn’t elaborate much on Lesnar’s condition, but has ruled out cancer. White said Lesnar has an intestinal disorder. White did say that there is chance that Lesnar’s UFC career is done.

I know this is kinda about the UFC and not the WWE but I figured since Lesnar USED to be one of the biggest wrestlers out there it would have some kind of relevance... does anyone know whats going on with this or have any reaction?

I can't say I'm a massive follower of Ufc. Infact i've never ever watched it so in all honesty his career being over in Ufc has no relevance on me. But as another human being I am sad to hear of anyone who's illness causes them to lose a career. So hope he recovers fully and goes on to be healthy.

from what i hear its a lot of hype for marketing.. then again i could be wrong because i hardly follow UFC , i read up on it from time to time.

UFC President Dana White spoke to Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday and provided yet another update on Brock Lesnar’s health status. While it was reported earlier this week that Lesnar was suffering from a bacterial infection in his intestines, it turns out he actually had a hole in his intestine and has not been 100% for an entire year.

“Brock was in big pain, he was hurting…. We don’t know if he’ll ever fight again. He had a hole in his intestine. The (stuff) was leaking into his stomach. That’s what was causing him so much pain. That and he had abscesses. The doctor told him he hasn’t been right for a year. His immune system has been trying to fight this thing and that’s why he was susceptible to getting sick…. We’ll find out more next week. We’re going to send him to the Mayo Clinic for a couple of days. I don’t know what to say. It’s looking better now than last week, but what that means, I don’t know.”

Brock Lesnar is scheduled to visit the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN early next week for a battery of tests. His trainer Greg Nelson spoke to the Star Tribune this week and sasid, “No one can tell, but it seems right now it’s something he’ll definitely recover from.” While this should be considered good news, Nelson stressed that it’s too early to tell when Lesnar will fight again.

Why do they keep repeating "he'll never fight again..." over and over

Don't like UFC for this reason, the mix between real and fake is a much worse combo than in wrestling.

Diana White is a tit, I'm almost expecting him to hold a press conference telling the world Brock is dead, only for him to comeback under some kind of undertaker gimmick and make the biggest comeback ever.
