Ricky Ortiz

I'm kinda curious to know what everyone's feelings about this guy are. I've seen him a couple of times, and been pretty impressed by him. He has an unusual look, although I'm not sure if he's trying to use a DDP-style 'positive thinking' gimmick, and I'm also not sure if he's a heel or face...

Given a chance though, I reckon he could be something pretty decent...

I think he debuted as a face in ecw and became a heel in Smackdown. Don't really know a lot about him to be honest. I thought he was ok in ECW but i've not really watched him in SD a lot

hes someone i think they will keep testing and using just whenever, but think if he sticks it out he could get more attention down the line.

I think he came up from FCW at the wrong time, there was him, Bourne came up around the same time, Swagger outshined just about everybody when he came up. Aswell as the other's from that Superstar Initiative, Ryan Braddock, who ended up gettig bubble wrapped, and Gavin Spears, both released now, there was too much happening for them all to shine I supose, he ended up getting lost in the shuffle.

He had a good run though, undefeated for bout 5 matches, 'till Swagger came up lol. Jobbed out since... But jobbing in WWE dont say anything to some one's ability, look at Jamie Noble, Jimmy Yang, etc...

I just kind of feel nothing for him at the moment, can't even be bothered to get into his matches

i dunno, I just see something in him.

As I say, his look is pretty unique and makes him stand out, from what I've seen of him so far he does look green but hasn't really made himself look out of place in a WWE ring. As with all new guys, I guess he needs a decent feud to help him on his way, he seems competent on the mic...

If people are looking for possible future main-eventers, I think I'd give my nod to him. You heard it here first.

I think he just looks like a jacked version of Carlito just now, I'm not sure yet, maybe when he is given a decent program I'll start to care

The Carlito-thing is only the hair though, lets face it!

I'm hoping his match with Finlay on Smackdown last week develops into something, but added to him also being used in 6 man-tags with the likes of Jeff and co, he hasn't looked out of place. He's got the WWE physique, just needs a few moves and a decent feud and he'll develop nicely.

Or, as is more likely, he'll be future-endeavored within a week now I've said all this.

The hair and the bottoms screams Carlito though so for me his 'look' ain't Unique, thats all I can base him on just now as he has done very little else

i think he needs some time and maybe a hair cut, maybe him and Tyler Reks can make a tag team if some changes happen down the line but I can't see him doing anything to big in this year.

I've not been impressed by him but he has performed to an acceptable standard especially since his move to SmackDown. I think his wrestling style is more unique than his look, he has this strange combination of powerhouse and athletic moves, it's hard to describe.

Like Sexton said, if he sticks it out and learns along the way, he could be a potential main eventer, he needs to be kept with people better/more experienced than him for the moment though. Ortiz wouldn't look half as good if he was against the likes of Knox.

I think he is heel but is refreshingly, not another psycho, highflying or monster character. It's nice to have a heel who is annoying but still likeable, if you know what I mean.

If Tyler Reks is going to be in a tag team it would make more sense to bring the guy up from FCW he was Tag Team Champion with in my opinion

he has potential to be used in some fueds in a few years maybe mid card seems like it will be enough for this guy though.

he has talent i think he will end up as one of those under rated mid carders though, but he would do a very good job on the mid card one day maybe, and that IS enough lol

just had a scoot about YouTube about him, its a right 'dark-horse' shout, so fair play if he makes it, from what I saw all I could make out was low to midcard jobber

his finisher the big O sucks its just terrible

I like the name of his finisher though but its just not a fit to his character, if he was a porn star character like Val Venus then fair enough

he is like carlito pumped with steroids but he isnt a talented as carlito.i dont like him at all and hopefully he will get released
