Watched TNA... sorry I mean Impact Wrestling, yesterday on Challenge and it featured heavily the X-Division wrestlers and they even mentioned the old catchphrase “it's not about weight limits, it's about no limit.

Now for those not familiar with that phrase from the old TNA days, it basically means any speedy wrestler can compete in the X-Division and thats why Samoa Joe held the title at one point, if your still unsure, an example would be if HBK joined TNA, in theory he could fight for that title even though he's not a lightweight... the problem is Abyss is not suited as he's slow and sluggish, however i'm kinda glad he has the X-Division title as they need to build up that title and make it TNA's equivilent of WWE's IC title as opposed to a Cruiser Weight title and in order to do that they need non-lightweights holding it for a while.

Now the storyline at the moment is Immortal wants to kill off the X-Division and with Abyss winning the belt and Eric Bischoff pinning that Generation Me guy in a tag match, storyline wise it's looking like the end of the X-Division,
so here's the question, is this the start of a huge push for the X-Division and a return to the “it's not about weight limits, it's about no limits” days or are they killing off the X-Division for real and retiring the title?

to be fair it was a good impact show this week I thought, little or no time filler.

the show shot from matches to promos to backstage sneaky cam business quite well, they even showed replays mid match instead of just making you watch 2 guys on the mat, at one stage.

All I thought though was, looks like they want to compete with smackdown not raw now being all blue

I agree as it's like someone handed Hulk and Bischoff tapes from the TNA archive and they are using the stuff that work.

Also they have stopped doing them stupid backstage reaction videos at the end of Impact.

yeah the show didnt end 15 minutes early to fill it with shit after did it? they managed the full slot

we also get to see the longest heel turn in the history of pro wrestling with taz on commentary, fucking slap tenay already and get it done with.

its obvious they want one to stick up for heels to create conflict, but having taz apollogise when tenay questions him is a bit stupid

the x-division may have had a weight limit which It should, but it also had high fliers. It was fast paced and that made it enjoyable. The heavy weights are slow.

It doesn't have a weight limit. Hence the "It's not about weight limits, it's about no limits" thing.
