Another Trilogy HD Coming

It’s not the first time we’re heard such rumblings and, on the face of it, it makes perfect sense. The first three Metal Gear Solids, though available on other platforms, are synonymous with the PlayStation brand. With God of War, Prince of Persia, Sly Cooper, Splinter Cell and other franchises (we’d be here all day listing them) all receiving a high-definition spruce up, it seems a no-brainer that Snake and co. would also get a face-lift.

Metal Gear Solid on PSone, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater are ripe for an HD upgrade, but whether we'll get all of the extra content lavished on the games with VR Missions for the first game and Substance and Subsistence versions for 2&3 respectively, is unknown. It'd certainly be nice though.

There's no mention of a date, price or whether it'll be a Blu-ray disc, PSN download or both, but we'll stick our neck out and say that if indeed Metal Gear Solid is coming as a trilogy - and it's a rumour don't forget - it'll be offered as both a retail disc and PSN download.

that would be pretty good. Like how they clarify it's not going to be the old snake games that would be redone. They were platform types without much to offer compared to the ps1 classic. Snakes revenge was good though lol
