It does seem a bit stupid that England haven't got it, as they did have the best bid.

The infastructure in the country for everything is already there, so we wouldn't actually have to spend that much money.

Russia is massive, a nightmare for fans to get around, they will have to build new stadiums and transport.

Qatar have to build like five new stadiums, and spend a shed load of money on other stadiums as well all those laws and shit.

We could have stood to make £8 billion from having the world cup here.

To be honest Im kind of gutted that England didnt get it. I was planning on going to a World Cup with a load of mates but fuck going to Russia or Qatar.

FIFAs a joke really. It will end up costing fans a fortune in Russia travelling around the country. Qatar have never even qualified for a World Cup for fuck sake. The whole thing just stinks of corruption considering that Russia is ran by an ex spy and is basically a mafia state and Qatar has a population of about 1 million people and the stadiums that are being built are apparently to be sold off for scrap once the tournament has finished. So the whole idea of FIFA giving it to these countries in order to develop is a bit of a farce in my opinion.

I think the World Cup being hosted in England could have done wonders for the national team and actually generating interest again in the team because lets face it, and Im including myself in this, most English football fans that I know have no real interest in international football and so with a huge buildup to the actual tournament I think it could have reinvigorated the team. Obviously once 2018 actually rolls around most of the team playing now wont be playing and Cappello will be long gone. Plus lets face it England is probably the ideal country to host a world cup, with the best stadiums, facilities and even down to things like the weather which although we all moan about it, it will be nothing compared to the freezing temparatures of Russia and boiling desert of Qatar.

travel issue... You can get from any stadium there to any other in 2hours MAX the maximum time between the furthest is a two hour journey. Hi english propaganda. Distance is nothing if you rag it on efficient transport..

Russia deserve to host a world cup no doubt about it imo.

Love how the media have just suddenly jumped on FIFA being corrupt like its breaking news, Most people have known for years that FIFA is corrupt. Its Qatar winning 2022, that's the big joke and needs to be looked into.
