Celtic are reportedly about to sign this lad from Scunthorpe for £1.8m rising to £2.4m

I've looked him up and saw a few of his goals, seems to be a decent goalscorer but don't really know much about him, so any chance any of the League One or Championship fans on here who have saw him against their teams can fill me in on what type of player he is, what kind of striker is he in the mould of and whats his strengths weaknesses ect

i haven't actually seen him play typically he got a hattrick against Bristol City last season though.

But 19 league goals put him as the second highest scorer out of the championship strikers, ahead of the likes of Chopra and Carroll who have been touted as potential premier league strikers.

At 22 I would say you have a quality player who could be with you for years and could still get better.

Yeah cheers, he seems to be a player on the up, three seasons ago he got 11 in 11 in League Two

Two seasons ago he got 30 in League One

Last season he stepped up another division and finished with 20, 19 of them in 35 games in the Championship

It looks like a natural progression for him.

i wouldn't take this bit as solid, but i think he is a striker who gets himself in the positions for chances for often than not but can come out with the long shot now and then/run with shot at the end

Yeah from what I've seen of him he tends to like running with the ball at defenders, and is apparantly deadly in the box, June and Sexton might have seen a bit of him the season before last in League One

I actually followed the Championship quite abit last season, and for a guy that scored that many goals, his name strangely doesn't ring a bell. Still, he'll no doubt be a big improvement on that big poof Samaras

He always looked a threat on the Football League show and any live games they had but when they played us they only went with one up front and he didn't really have much service.But he did like to run with the ball whenever he got it and seems like a natural scorer.I saw him at Hereford a couple of times when he scored 11 in 11 and like I said natural goalscorer.

Yeah that was the same with me, I think I was more interested in the Championship than I was in the Premiership, he just didn't ring a bell considering he was one of the top goalscorers, anything is a step up from Fortune

tbh he was quality for us,maybe it was the pressure of being at a bigger club.Or that we had him on loan so was putting himself in the shop window.But surely he's better than Samaras?
