Possible Plans for WWE's SummerSlam PPV

With Triple H out of action again and The Undertaker's return not confirmed now, nothing is solid for this year's SummerSlam pay-per-view. The show was going to be built around Taker and Triple H's returns.

CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio has been discussed but it's not a lock. Months ago, WWE wanted to do a mask vs. mask match to expose CM Punk's bald head but obviously that won't be happening now. Other matches discussed include Big Show vs. Jack Swagger and The Harts vs. The Usos.

WWE has also been thinking about doing John Morrison vs. Ted DiBiase, with Melina reuniting with Morrison to even up the odds since DiBiase has Maryse now.

I would imagine Orton vs Edge in a gimmick match to try and up the selling power

edge and orton? surley one of them will get injured by then

At least Taker isn't returning at Summerslam 2 years in a row.

If he's not back at Summerslam he can't return at Night of Champions can he?? With it being all title matches that means WWE have 7 matches straight off. If they do want him to return then we could see Diva's matches (no big loss) and US title/IC title/Tag titles potentially being neglected to allow a Taker return.

I'm quite happy with no Taker or HHH, haven't missed either of them one bit. I can see the main events being
Orton vs Shamus
Mysterio vs Punk

mysterio vs punk has been done to death,i would rather see a christian vs punk feud going into summerslam or even an heel christian vs ray ray.

or undertaker is in a world title match

blows the vegetitive state thing away though as that would be his returning fued, so the attacker would need to be champ

another Mysterio vs Swagger match? Falls count anywhere or something, give Rey licence to use the arena for some spots, Swagger could use a merchandise stand or something to use the gutwrench powerbomb as well....

Or SD's MITB winner could cash in on sunday and we have a whole new fued under way

Taker could return at Night of Champions. They could do it similar to his return at SummerSlam last year. Have a heel champ win in the WHC match, only to have Taker return and do something to challenge them to a future match. Or, have whomever they are planning on being Taaker's attacker be champ and he can return to either challenge them after the match, or cost the person the title!

yeah he still has a title shot but cant use it until the GM gives clearance on him to use it im guessing after all the nexus vs WWE angle

i was thinking more Taker beating Kane for the title, Kane beats Swagger and at the end Takers gong go's off and he appears in the ring and tombstones kane

I would just rather at the end of the match between who ever, the gong goes off. lights out (well purple light on), smoke billows from the stage where druids walk out with a coffin or something. Nothing actually happens though as we shouldn't see Taker till the next PPV, next 2 weeks or so lights go out and gongs etc during Kane's matches, 2nd one have something on the titantron saying 'he has returne.

If possible they should get paul baerer to return on behalf of Taker, telling Kane Taker knows that it was him who attacked him and he will be coming for him at the PPV.

I can see what you are saying, but I Undertaker v Kane doesn't really need a title to make it a better feud. So Swagger should get the title and go onto feud with CM Punk/Christian (if he get's a push) or someone else that I'm not too sure on.

I agree with you there, Paul Bearer would be an excellent addition to the feud, but the distractions during Kane's matches would be an obvious route however people would mark out at the gongs and all sorts.

if swagger does win the championship i can see him defending it against Big Show not CM Punk Or Christian

Ah yes Big Show I forgot about him. He probably would as they have a little feud going on.

And no point being 2 heels against each other especially when CM Punk is such a big heel there

so i take it Reys taking time off now

I don't think Rey is taking time off just yet

So we could see a triple treat at the next PPV

Kane Vs Swagger Vs Rey

Or just see Kane Vs Rey and Big Show Vs Jack Swagger In A Number One Contender match
