PlayStation Plus will be available across Europe starting June 29th 2010, at a yearly fee of £39.99 (€49.99). A 90 day membership will be available for £11.99 (€14.99) Designed to offer PlayStation Network’s power users added value, access and convenience, PlayStation Plus will offer a number of special features including discounts on the PlayStation Store content, free and exclusive access to select games, full game trials, and much more.
PlayStation Network will continue to add new exclusive games to its catalogue this year, including PixelJunk Shooter 2, Eat Them and Dead Nation, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details.

I was going to get a PS3 because they don't charge to play online.

Looks like i'm sticking to my Wii for online gaming (which is still free).

its not worthy. Read it lol premium online service for free hands and trials. Anyone who wants some free arcade games 'for 39 pound' is a little loose in the circuits

It doesn't even say that by paying the additional fee that you'll be using better servers online, which is what I would have expected here, I mean that's the whole reason behind the fees for XBox Live.

its litterally to make a massive hit of dollar. If you have 50 million accounts and 5-10% of those give you extra money for something with a tiny cost to provide, then you just made alot of money.

I think eventually they're hoping to get go the same way as Xbox Live, which has the free Live in Silver, which has hardly anything and Live Gold which has everything, I would suspect they hope everybody goes Premium in time.

of course i like the idea of the premiums special features like cross game chat & voice messages but dont think its worth it

If playstation don't add any more new features to the free service, and add more and more features to the premium, people will start buying it, and they can basically make it so that you only get the real Playstation Network if you buy it.

and i was just saying ps3 was getting as good what a joke!


You pay this money and you get to download free stuff and demos you can do that on xbxo silver which is free!
