Report: WWE Creative Team Proposes Maria Sex Tape Angle

A member of the WWE SmackDown creative team pitched an angle for the Dolph Ziggler and Maria storyline which would have had Ziggler blackmailing Maria with video footage. It would have been heavily implied that the footage was a sex tape, although they never would have come right out and said it.

The proposed angle called for Ziggler threatening that he would show it to her family and friends, but not any of the fans. The angle was apparently rejected.

that could have been a god angle, something different and it could have really got Ziggler over as a "do anything to get what he wants" type heel and it could have paved the way for Marie to actually get some air time and earn her crust

i was already wondering why she was whit ziggler al in a suddon to bad they wont do this angle anymore wonder how this will continue and how long maria will stay whit ziggler

i remember something like that happening on one of the SvR games lol

i think Ziggler could have been a great heel in this storyline as Maria is a Top Diva fan favourite the crowd love her for him to be blackmailing her it could really have worked on the other hand who would he have feud with would maria went backsatge fount someone to fight her case for her

That's a pretty good angle shame they dropped i think it would of really gotten Ziggler over as heel, have they dropped it because of the pg rating or did someone refuse to do it?

think of the PG rating atleast thats what WWE would said

but they said they will not directly mention a sex tape.

wont be dropped for pg rating, they love hinting at filth. e.g 5 knuckle shuffle

People have to stop blaming the PG rating on everything, it was that rating when Triple H broke into Ortons house, smashed him and the house to bits, same rating when Haitch was smashing legacy and limos about with a sledgehammer, same PG rating when Orton was nailing Haitch with a sledgehammer while seriously assaulting woman as well as kissing an unconscious woman while her handcuffed husband was made to watch!

Like the report says, the tape would not exist, it would only be alluded to so they wouldn't be showing anything

or just bung Rey in there to give him a title match where Maria screws Rey out of the title to help Ziggler win turning her heel

This would be awesome, but spits in the face of the WWE's PG rating.

Sounds like a pretty good storyline, and would really get Ziggler over as a heel. And I suppose there's so many different ways you could have it finish, like with Maria turning heel or having a face come 'to the rescue' as it would seem.

Haha KayFabe. When you say it like that, even showing everyone the SexTape doesn't seem like that bad a deal.
But agreed, that coulda been a very good storyline.

surely any guy couldn't have thought against this storyline Maria + Sextape.........
