As noted earlier here on the website, there is some strong unhappiness among wrestlers regarding the drug testing in WWE, particularly in light of Eddie Fatu's (a/k/a Umaga) departure from the company. While there has always been a problem with fines for smoking marijuana, the bigger issue has to do with the legitimacy of the company's drug testing procedure.

Until recently, the belief was that the testing was legitimate and no favorites were being played. Some believed at least a few of the wrestlers are able to stay looking enhanced because they can beat the testing through HGH — which cannot be tested — or special designer drugs. Until recently, they believed the testing was not being unfairly administered, but that is not the case anymore and several wrestlers are very unhappy.

What happened is that one top WWE star is rumored to have failed a drug test for steroids, with company officials covering it up by not suspending him. The wrestler in question told someone about his drug test failure in full detail and word started to go around.

While there is no concrete proof on the story, there are very detailed accounts circulating which are widely believed among wrestlers.

Initially, it wasn't that big of a concern among wrestlers, except that later, Umaga, who was popular in the locker room, was unceremoniously released by the company. Although once he refused entering a rehabilitation center, the company at that point had no choice but to release him. However, several have pointed out Kurt Angle turning down entering rehab in 2006 and he wasn't suspended at the time. In fact, he continued to wrestle.

It should also be noted that there are a few wrestlers on the roster with exemptions where they can use testosterone for medical reasons, but they have to be approved. This explains why Chris Benoit was able to pass the company's drug testing despite the greatly elevated level of testosterone in his system.

Batista being one of them - in his autobiography he says that he suffers from asthma. As a wheezer myself, I've been prescribed steroids numerous times in inhalers and pills when I've been ill...

Thats basically why I always thought that Psycho Sid would return one day, because he surely would be eligible to use Steroids for the leg muscles

so if batista has asthma, he can claim any steroids in his system are purely related to that?

No, what happens is when you have a condition like Asthma then the testers know what to look for and what they can dismiss

My understanding of the Wellness test is that he can produce a prescription showing he has a genuine medical case, he's allowed to have a higher-than-usually allowed steroid count in his blood. And depending on how severe it is defines how it's treated - I have to take inhalers morning and night, and also before I exercise - meaning I take inhalers 6-8 times a day (I should add that my asthma is only mild). Assuming he's the same, he's 'allowed' quite a lot of steroids - and again, if he has to puff away before exercise, that's before every work-out and before every match...

Testosterone is also naturally produced by men - and again, someone the size of the Phillipino kiddy-fiddler is going to produce an awful lot...

I don't think you can get prescribed the amount of Steroids Roidtista takes for asthma although it could be someone else who gets favourtism but i just can't think of his name :/

My shout would be someone who is built like the proverbial brick toilet, sells a shed-load of merchandise, has starred in a couple of WWE movies, and is pushed way more than his talent should permit.

Got to agree, he won it at Survivor Series in his first night back, he held it until No Way Out when it took THREE finishers from three different wrestlers to put him away in a 3 on one shot!

He then won it back the very next PPV before losing it due to severe interference and now he is back in the hunt again after a couple of PPV's without being involved

It just shows that people where that used to Cena over-kill that any time he is out of it then people think he is being kept away from it, madness

I think it's CM Punk

I think the obvious ones are Batista, Triple H or Randy Orton. All look like they've taken steroids and all are held in high regard of the company so could have gotten away with it.

Orton's slimmed down a hell of a lot over the past couple of years, so I don't think it's him.

Trips is the other guy that came to mind for me.

Triple H is looking quite lardy these days

Orton and the rest of Legacy look like the American Olympic Swimming team

I did think about Undertaker. Edge is also another one. He has used drugs in the past. Doubt it's Undertaker though.

Taker's another who's a lot smaller than he was. Plus the part-time schedule means he has more time to work out.

Edge has slimmed down and lost a lot of muscle toning, especially in the stomach area - can't see it being him.

Rey? Still ripped for such a little chap.

Rey isn't a bad shout actually. It could be him.

I think Taker looks bigger now than he did 10 years ago, especially his chest
