FCW Invasion On ECW - Who Are The 4 New Stars?

Here are some details of the new WWE talents that debuted on ECW:

Yoshitatsu is Naofumi Yamamoto, who has worked for New Japan Pro Wrestling in the past. He's been under a WWE developmental deal in September 2008, a signing that received attention from the Associated Press at the time, played up as WWE expanding its global horizons with the signing of a Japanese talent.

Abraham Washington, who debuted a new ECW talk show segment tonight, has been working in FCW as the developmental promotion's general manager Abraham Saddam (later Obama) Washington, obviously a takeoff of President Barack Obama. Real name Brian Jossie, he had been training at former WWE developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling. He was among several talents signed to developmental deals by John Laurinaitis during a September 2008 visit.

Sheamus is Irish native Sheamus O'Shaunessy (real name: Stephen Farrelly). He was trained at Larry Sharpe's Monster Factory and worked regularly in Ireland before being signed to WWE developmental in April 2007. He had been working dark matches and house shows for the Raw brand in recent months. While in Florida Championship Wrestling, he was FCW champion. He's received some media attention in his native Ireland for signing with WWE and has done some acting as well.

FCW champion Tyler Reks (Gabrielle Tuft), who debuted in a backstage vignette as a dreadlocked California surfer type is legitimately from California. He was trained at Rick Bassman's UPW school by the late Mike Bell. He was signed to a WWE developmental deal in February 2008, just a year after he wrestled for the first time. Of late, he's been in the top of the FCW mix. He does a number of high flying moves including a springboard moonsault that's dubbed "The Big Kahuna."

Hopefully some of these guys will step up like swagger did and make ECW enjoyable

they never ever use the word that often, or at all with rey, just say high flier, must show indication of debuting the luchadores so people are subconciously more familiar with it.

he said it about 10 times in one little section. Rey the luchadore, hes a right lucha.

Don't know, I just looked at the FCW roster and a lot of them either look similar to current wrestlers (one guy looks like a fat Kofi Kingston, headband and all) or they look like each other.

Not going to contribute much to the discussion at all, but Gabrielle Tuft is an awesome name!

Sheamus, Id seen him on the Wrestling Channel when that first started, on Irish Whip or something, thought the gaelic promo was class, high hope's for that guy.

Bit of trivia, HHH already buried him before he debuted, he was ione of the cop's who tried to arrest HHH and DX with the McMahon thing a few year's ago lol.

A little concerned that all 4 debuted on the same show though, and the draft coming in too, an hour show, your debuting 4 new guy's, also debuting 5 people from the draft, getting the other star's out there in Kozlov, Christian, Dreamer, etc. But it weren't too bad, the talk show get's rid of 3, the main event with Regal, a couple of segment's between and the Benji/ Jap dude match debuted 2.

On that Obama lookylike, he did alright on his first night, can see alot of potential in him, he has a superstar look about him, seem's confident speaking too, could be the next MVP, or even Rock?

Sheamus is by far the most talented from all of them, hated Shelton's promo although I don't blame him, totally racist, I'm not one of those PC guys who doesn't want to offend anyone, however its like they couldn't think of anything they could do so they used the cheapest tricks in the book

I think they had all that because they wanted the jap guy to look like a total jobber untill he twatted him.

tbh he could have been a one of jobber and i guess most americans wer thinking whos this guy he will be shit (as ther all a little racist really, and they havent had much to go on really with funaki lol) think it was a clever way to get him across as a good guy and impactfull.

I think you far underestimate the American audiance, from being a member of a few big forums, American forums, they know their stuff, their will always be WWE fans who just know WWE but in this day and age I'd say thats getting lesser and lesser

thats why i think its clever to have him like that so when he shits all over a few stars he gets more of a shock reaction

It was a shock factor kind of victory alright, but you can only get away with that type of win once in a while, he needs to have a chance to get himself over with his ability first

i think he will have a longer match next week, reverse most of sheltons moves etc, then shelton may bash his head in, as its ecw.

is there some place that we can see these guys while they were still in the FCW, just wondering, i saw one match on google with Yoshi Tatsu and he was pretty impressive, RVD style jump kicks and such

pretty sure fcw started broadcasting locally, it will be somewhere

Losing Swagger and Bourne mightn't be as bad as everyone thought at first the new wretlers from FCW look good Yoshitatsu heard good things about hopefully see him in a longer match next, Abraham Washington was good on the mic has anyone seen him wrestle before if so what was he like? Sheamus looks good used a lot of power moves and has a brutal finisher also liked the Irish intro.
Kozlov has improved a lot and doesn't look as generic with the red trunks. Regal should make a good addition to the ECW roster.
