| Just wanted to get your guy's thoughts on Bobby Lashley apparently signing with TNA and making his debut at Lockdown. I for one think this is a good thing for TNA. I just hope it doesn't take away from AJ, Joe or Daniels (which is so awesome he returned as the fallen angel and not with a mask). I was just curious what you guys thought. | |

| I think it'll be a great move and such a shock to most people as no one had mentioned him. I'm kind of hoping for Jarrett to step back from the Frontline now and just let it be people like Samoe Joe, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Bobby Lashley. EDIT! He was introduced as a friend of Angles and looks to be joining the MEM :-(, as long as it means getting Nash/Steiner out of the ring I'm not too bothered | |

| I have been rather harsh on TNA in the past but this is an absolutely brilliant move, whether you like Lashley or not he is a big name and one that I'm sure Vince would have loved to have back in the WWE
I felt that TNA have needed something, they need to show they are heading in the right direction and this does that, I wasn't to confident of these 'past world champions' they where advertising but I am pleasantly surprised
Also, I think Lashley is the best possible guy they could have signed, we hear names like RVD and Goldberg but Lashley is a big name as well and he actually has his career in front of him, TNA with moves like this are certainly going in the right direction

| Is he really considered a big name? I know Vince was trying to push him to the moon, but did he actually get over? Not looking forward to seeing this at all, he's terrible in the ring, and pathetic on the mic. | |

| I think he is a big name to the modern day Wrestling fan yea!
He isn't the greatest on the mic, but in this day and age, if Vince consideres someone a big name then you can pretty much be sure they are considered a big name, he was all scheduled for the big hero return last Feb when he called it quits, I have no doubt he would have been a won the WHC on RAW at some point last year
I think it really is a big big move for TNA
I'm no Lashley fan either though but can see why many are

| Yeah I do think Vince was gearing up for a Lashley World Title reign, but I just wasn't sure if he had actually gotten over with the fans big time.
The only things Lashley has going for him is that he is big and athletic, unfortunatley though his wrestling ability leaves a lot to be desired. He's like Brock Lesnar without the skill. I just hope TNA keeps him away from the title, and they better have somebody do his talking for him.

| I'm not sure, I actually think he needs to do his own talking, sure he isn't the best but he needs to learn and if he can't do that in TNA where the environment is less pressurised then he will never make it
I don't know much about Lashley, I thought he was supposed to be a quality mat wrestler

| The guy sounds like Michael Jackson on helium with a lisp! You really can't get away with talking like that and having people take you seriously. I always thought that in WWE Ron Simmons was a perfect fit to manage him.
He was a good amatuer wrestler I think, pretty sure he won a national championship or two. Unfortunately though, unlike Angle, Lesnar and Benjamin, he wasn't able to adapt his style successfully to pro-wrestling. Other than his matches with Finlay, he always looked pretty green, probably called up too early like a lot of guys.

| I think working with Angle, Joe, Daniels and AJ might help improve him in the ring, if that doesn't nothing probably will
IThe guy can't help his voice though, I don't think the sound of his voice will hinder him, its just he never seemed beleivable on the stick, if he appears more comfotable on the mic then thats all you can ask for, wouldn't saddle him with a mouthpiece because his voice doesn't fit with what people expect

| But I think it's mostly the sound of his voice which stops him being believable in his promos. If you have a guy with that kind of voice, making threats it just seems quite laughable at times. | |

| I think the sound of his voice is the least of someones worries when you see the size of him, if he is booked to be the monster he looks then the sound of his voice wouldn't be to much of an off put in the long term | |

| But if you have a guy who is portrayed as a big beast, destroying all in his path, and then he talks like that, it really ruins the illusion. It's very hard to take him seriously again once he opens his mouth. | |

| I'm not so sure, I've never been of the belief that the way a guy sounds is the way he is
Look at footballers, Mark Hughes and Ray Wilkins where too of the hardest players in England around the 80s and 90s yet listening to them talk they sound like nerds, same goes with Roy Keane
I don't buy that the guy needs to sound like the usual monster, as long as they can actually talk!

| The difference is though, that talking isn't a major part of a footballers job. Considering that lashley isn't particularly good in the ring, it's necessary that he can deliver good promos. But with a voice like that, anything he says is unconvincing. At least that's how he's always come across to me. | |

| I know their is a difference however what I'm saying is a guy can do very little about how he naturally sounds, so just becoming better on the stick is his only hope, something he does need to do
Giving him a mouthpiece won't do nothing for him in the long term, as for him not being very good in the ring, I'm not so sure, like you said yourself he has a good amature background, working with who he will be working with in TNA should sort him out, also, whos to say he hasn't picked up, its been about 20 months since anyone last saw him in a wrestling ring

| Well considering he's spent that time away concentrating on MMA training, then I don't really expect his wrestling abilities to have improved much, if at all. I'll give him his chance, but I'm not really expecting much. | |

| As Gaffer has said throughout this article I think that TNA is probably the best place for Lashley to improve. Sure he might not be the best technically but I find him sometimes quite enjoyable to watch.
He may get thrown straight into Main Event stuff but he isn't a bad aquistion even if it's just to be the bigger guy in the X-Division (Someone like Hernandez/Homicide, except less of a high flyer.)

| I think its great signing TNA dont need any more workers they need stars like cena and batista that appeal to the main stream. He recieved quite alot press for hes last mma fight and i think if used proprley he could be a top mainstream star for them. | |

Just like Mike Knox. I think it's a great pull by TNA, we were all expecting a low level guy and nobody got their hopes up but they made a great move. Lashley, although not that great in the ring, or on the mic was being built up by the next big thing/Lesnar and now they have him.

| I agree with that, I already said big kudos to them, I wasn't expecting anyone note worthy, infact I was actually thinking we would be ridiculing TNA today in yet another letdown, its great they got people talking about them for the right reasons though | |

| I agree with guns and leak even though lashley is a very credible signing, a lot stronger than many were expecting, his voice lets down his character so perhaps a manager would be beneficial!
Because if he is booked to be dominant character then his voice doesnt match that character. its just like when mike knox first spoke i just found myself laughing as it didnt match his gimmick. It just unfortunate for lashley and knox that when we think of dominant males/monsters we think of deep perhaps booming voices due to the media we grow up around!
Even if lashley did become confident in his mike skills would you really be able to take him seriously as a dominant force with such an innocent sounding voice, which is traditionally linked to weaker characters by films and tv!
P.S. hello to everyone as it has been a long time since i last posted

| where have you been hiding Wardy? Good to see you back, don't be a stranger man As for Lashley, all might not be as it seems just yet - Quote :
- According to Dave Meltzer, here is the latest on the future of Bobby Lashley.
Lashley's camp has stated that Lashley has not signed a contract with TNA Wrestling, and that his appearance last night was for he and the company to become acquainted with each other. The plan would be for Lashley to do wrestling for TNA on a limited basis, while still training for MMA.
Lashley, who is 2-0 in his MMA career, is negotiating a contract with Strikeforce as well as negotiating for a June 27th fight with Bob Sapp. That fight would take place at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum for Biloxi for Prize Fight Promotions. Sapp has not agreed to the deal, but is reviewing the contract. Lashley could agree to the bout as early as later this evening.
