Show last night was to a very decent standard I thought, a few thoughts ad such now follow...

CmPunk and Regal:

These guys have a good chemistry in ring, put on a fairly brutal looking match and the crowd were (obviously) into it. I really like watching these guys fight eachother because you are garenteed spots where you cring yet enjoy some of the moves, for example regal dropped punk on his head (in quite a safe way hahah) but it looked damn good, always get about 5 replays of a single suplex move if regal is involved lol. and even stuff as simple as his elbows to punks head before getting put to sleep.

cracking watch that match.

HBK JBL and cena:

3 of the best promo guys in quite an emotional back and forth event, with cena pleading HBK to be himself as he is still just about the best in the company. JBL spouting his usual hes my employee, but also acknowledging HBKs class, HBK feigning a sweet chin music, but then jbl smacking cena one, and taking him out without shaun actually touching him. good feel to the whole thing, keeping the crowd on their toes.

Jericho:

brilliant lol. having to plead forgiveness from steph and the fans, crowd chanting on your knees which made it even better, steph enjoyed that one.

Mcmahons return:

well he returned and first off met dolph ziggler, which was a nice touch, left him speechless.

the main return though saw vince declare that infact him and steph were running RAW together now and he would always check with her before making a decision.

Orton appeared to be a little upset with this and came out to make his feelings known, but of course vince didnt like him belittling his daughter and decided hed gone too far and went to fire him.

randy warned him he didnt want to do that (good charactor progression for orton i think) and as vince goes to fire him he gets a big slap that knocks him down and then gets kicked onto his back orton then punts him in his head (it looked proper sick that did lol) and vince was left flat on his face requiring medical attention. orton then appeared to regret what hed just done and looked sick at himself.

i think this could be leading to steph working with orton though. reasoning being, heel gms are better. steph is 3rd gen. and if vince is put out for another 6 months then the show is all theirs.

could have been a plan all along on their behalf Very Happy

very good show in all.

I guess Vince and Undertaker have something going on similar to Triple H and Ric Flair:

Undertaker must have something like 15 on-screen deaths, and Vince is now dying three times a year in order to catch up.

I wasn't expecting a big wrestling RAW last night, you never do, especially when its the eve of a big PPV, one of the biggest in the year, however with the lack of actual wrestling last night I thought it was scandelous that they had a break smack bang in the middle of Regal Punk, shocking, as for Punks bump, I'm surprised Regal is allowed to do that in this day and age, its vicious and I've never saw anyone land safely from it, the first time I noticed it was in England last year when he took on Orton for the WWE title and I thought he killed him then too, ever since he has nailed it a lot and it looks really sick.

Thought the Shawn JBL Cena promo was absolutely brilliant, the only thing that's annoyed me about this angle is Shawns lack of talking in it, he can be brilliant when he is not playing the 'I am so happy and cheeky' character and last night showed exactly why he can be brilliant!

The WWE really don't know what to do with Cena in my opinion, ever since he came back and got some major heat from the fans (nothing knew I know) he has been pandering to his partner/opponents ever since, all this love for HBK is all well and good but its only to create cheap pops for Cena, its the same by giving him Stratus in Canada and having Jericho absolutely inhalatie the fans so he could defend them, I quite like Cena on the mic, when he can be an adult, like last night, but the World Champion shouldn't be pandering to anyone inside the ring, like I said, if it were for anything other than to get Cena a cheap pop I would like it

Loved the Goldust-Cody interaction, really think something is going to come of this

Steph is actually 4th generation like Shane smuggly announced to Orton a few weeks ago

I think Stephanie will have set this up too, I think she would have intstructed Orton to do that to get Vince out the picture, It could actually be a way of getting Jericho back face again, although I love him being a heel, there just isn't many face options left in the RAW main event

Was it just me or were the actual matches incredibly short last night? They felt very, very short compared to normal. I mean the battle royale can't have been more than two minutes long.

I also liked the promo between Goldust and Cody, I have a feeling Goldust might just lose the facepaint etc. and become just Dustin Rhodes, he could even turn heel and join Orton, but I think that would be a bit silly, I'm guessing he'll try and get Cody to become his partner.

I never realised Mike Knox sounded like that taking th piss out o. He sounds too soft, in future he shouldn't speak lol.

Vince better not be off screens again for months or whatever, maybe come back with a bandage around his head or something. I can see Steph reluctant in firing Orton showing something may be going on, I kinda though that maybe due to that promo that there would be something between the two. An agreement of sorts.

Regal is one of my favourites in the ring and Punk is growing on me. We know why he kept on losing to DQ now then; so he could win in Chicago. Hopefully there can be a decent storyline over the Interconential Championship now.

New championship introduction
Mr. McMahon’s return could be much less dire in nature, however, as the Chairman’s propensity to “shake things up” is well-documented. In particular, it has been years since a new championship was brought into the picture. With WWE’s two tag team titles currently held by members of SmackDown and ECW, now could be the perfect time to introduce a third tag title to be defended on Raw. Or, perhaps even more exciting, Mr. McMahon could reintroduce the fan-favorite Cruiserweight Championship, but this time making the title exclusive to the Raw brand.

I want to see a programme with CM Punk and Rey Mysterio, they had a brilliant match at Armageddon, I think a big programme between the two would have a good build up and lead to a top class mid card fued

I think that could be a good feud, but Mysterio still seems to be in the feud with Knox so in the meantime Punk could have a short feud. I would like to see a short feud with Santino because hopefully that'll allow Punk to get some mic time as Santino normally has some kind of segment.

Where does it say it WILL introduce a new title? it was a suggestion that turned into a 'what title would you bring back and why' article

There has been nothing to suggest that it would be a return, thinking there was is just pure imagination, thats why I backed you up when you questioned your self asking if you had imagined it!

Your not even a challenge

Also it made it less likely there'd be a new title when they put it on there, they would have wanted it to be a suprise.

I know what you mean about Santino but I really don't want to see Punk or the IC title involved with Santino, he is a total joke figure, wouldn't mind seeing him in a fued with Rhodes just now with DiBiase being the long term fued on a back burner programme croasing paths every know and then, and in the mean time Rey could be his big fued after Rhodes, I think Punk Rhodes, Rey and DiBiase could really make that title worthwhile again add Regal and Kofi to the mix and you have a very strong division

that raw was fantastic for promos. everything was so well done! bit sparse on the wrestling front like many have said but i too loved the punk regal match....even though regal is at the older end of the age spectrum in wwe, he is still a real hard hitter and you can tell that pun is workin well off of that.

orton seemed very sorry lookin after he booted vince, rather strange.......orton showing remorse......and also, vince seemed very placid and different from his usual full on, aggro self.

Both Regal and Punk both have unique styles so putting those two against each other was a great idea....does anyone know how long regal has been in the WWE...i think with a little bit more attention he could get pushed up as a main eventer

Good show from what I saw, only caught the last hour of it due to 24, but the cena hbk jbl promo was good. Morrison and Miz Mocking Obama was pretty funny, and Jericho's whole talk was great.

WWE.com also said that Tu-Pac could be who Kane was talking about in the 'Is he Dead or Alive' angle. stupidity

I think WWE are planning to turn Orton face this year and maybe the remorce was the beginnings of this. To be honest I don't think he'll be a good face, I enjoy him as a heel but I think as a face he'll come across as bland. As a heel it can be seen as just being cold and calculated, in kayafbe terms, but as a face it would just seem like he doesn't care. I also think he won't be able to connect with the fans as well.

I would prefer the 'E to try and get Orton more heat, book him to take out a major face, Undertaker is probably the best option. I wouldn't mind him being behind the Hardy incidents though, that'd be a nice twist and would turn him into an uber-heel (hopefully)
