| It seems most of us Prefer heels alot more than we do Babyfaces, and its obvious why, we hate the way a face connects with the markish crowd, the child friendly promo's etc
At this current time who are you actually enjoing watching as a face?
Id have to say for me at the mo CM Punk stands out.
I dunno if it's just me or not, but he seems to be given a little more freedom in the ring, other than kick after kick after kick, he's pulled of some decent moves, much like he did in ROH, i even think his promo work, allbeit hes not done much, has looked very good, i think he is more than comfortable on the mic and if given the freedom he could cut some great Promo's. Also he is slowly looking like a stronger Champion, i think if he wins this match at Unforgiven it would do him the world of good, he could finally say he has beaten all the contender's for his title, and all in one match, except Jericho, who surely has a shot after beating Punk one on one (does that rule still apply??).
My list would also include:
Jesse n Festus (shame about the retard gimmick) i can cope with it a little bit, but im looking foward to a storyline which will turn Festus to a complete Phsyco... *waits to be let down*
HHH to an extent
Big Show - always enjoy his matches, very talented for a man of over 7ft
Evan Bourne - needs no explanation
Kofi Kingston - think he is great, mic work is brilliant, ring work is great, charisma, personality etc etc
Who if anyone are you enjoying to watch as a FACE?

| Im gonna get stick for this but i quite enjoy Batista. I know hes pretty poor in the ring i know but when im watching him i just become a mark again im not sure why. His crowd reaction plays a part with the whole marking out thing and also he has a lot of power and even his poor in ring performance excites me.
Jeff Hardy: Im sure hell be on most peoples lists. He is exciting in the ring and even more so when theres a decent stipulation. I enjoy watching him atm but his matches are becoming samey with him getting his ass kicked and then he pulls out a win at the end. They need to make Hardy look better if he has any chance of being WWE Champ as the first and middle section of his matches seem a bit too similar to a squash.
I agree with you Callum about Kingston although the crowd arnt behind him which annoys me as hes a complete superstar.
I also enjoy Big Show and Bourne but i love Tommy Dreamer. He is still good in the ring and hes always got the crowd behind him it just pisses my off he doesnt get the push he deserves as he is quite capable of holding the ECW title and they then could have a few longer matches and him and Hardy or Morrison or Bourne could have some awesome long matches and also there could be, dare i say it, stip matches. Now with the ECW title being as good as mid card they normally only have one fall matches but with Dreamer being able to take a bump or be hit with a foreign object and it wouldnt just be the end of the match.

| I agree and disagree with some of this Geronimo
Batista - His programme with Y2J and HBK was brilliant, and i dont thik it was just down to chris and shawn, Batista sounded convincing on the mic, he was aggressive, shouting, not fluffing his lines, for a man of his look, thats how it should be, as opposed to ass licking the likes of Rey Mysterio.
Id disagree about Jeff, i do enjoy the spots and bumps, but i think he has become rather sloppy in he ring, his promo's are why people say wrestling is 'gay', that it's a bunch of half wits jumping around, shouting on the mic, i just don't like him all that much, he doesnt cut it for me, id rather see Umaga get the push that he's getting
As with Kingston, give it time, i think he is quite over with the crowd, he gets quite a decent pop on RAW, i think the fans do like him quite alot, he gets a reactio which is more than some get, Burchill for example...

| Hi folks. I'm brand new to the forum and this is my first post. I have a guilty pleasure in enjoying Jamie Noble as a comedy face, not only is he a talented wrestler but he is great on the mic. Some people may think that he is better as a heel but his current role as a "scrappy doo" character (by which I mean a pugnacious underdog) entertains me no end. It would possibly be a irratating storyline if the man wasn't pure gold in the ring. I love it. I also enjoy the in ring faces of Jimmy Wang Yang and Super Crazy. Yes they're never given mic time, yes they're never given a storyline but within seconds of being in the ring they can light up a crowd. Neither men could really ever be a crediable heel (unless they bring back the ninja gimmic for Jimmy) as the crowd doesn't have enough invested in them as a character to care about a heel-turn. But as high flying faces they are fantastic. I think both men could teach Jeff Hardy a thing or two about hitting a crisp off the top rope manoeuvre. And finally, the Boogeyman, his high workrate and amazing mixed martial arts.....nah I'm only kidding! Glad to be on the forum folks. Peace! | |

| I agree with Batista, I'm not a fan, even as a mark I didn't like him , but he's improved alot, I think he's found a good 'character', where he is on the edge of a heel turn all the time and it works. Evan Bourne, just briliant in the ring, but I expect he might get stale like Jeff. Kofi Kingston, whole package, and can really put on a good match. Shawn Micheals (I can't believe nobody has put him), absoloute brilliant, he's doing well now, although at the moment, Jericho is carrying the feud, Micheals I think will start to play a more predominate role in the next few weeks and I can't wait. I don't like CM Punk as a face, the way he looks and sounds just screams heel for me. His matches are getting boring. I think it's more down to WWE then Punk, they aren't letting him do all the moves he can all or the mic work he can, but atm his championship reign is looking stronger, he can only improve. | |

| CM Punk is boring. He reminds me of Bret Hart during his first title reign, without the personality. It woke me up when he won the belt, but now it seems like a bad dream. I say put the strap on Shawn Michaels again. How is it that HHH has held the title 12 times in the past 11 years and HBK has held it less than half in the past twenty? That blows. Put the strap on HBK and have him feud with Punk, that'll work. | |

| HBK doesn't want to hold a world title that's why, he chose to put the younger talent over, and I respect him for that, in the next couple of years I want to see Triple H take a role more like this. | |

| I love Evan Bourne, but from what I was able to make out from his screaming in the ring, he has the voice of a 5 year old boy. I seriously hope they can work around that, because it'll ruin every promo he gives if he really has this squeakish voice.
Big Show can do no wrong. I lovehim when he is a heel, and I love him more when he is a babyface. He can be goofy fun, and at the moment he is a contender for Mark Henry's title of 'Happiest Man in WWE', and that's just plain awesome.
I also like Jimmy Wang Yang, and think it's a pity nothing is done with him. I find him extremely likable, and could stand to see him actually win a match once in a while.
And to my mind there is nothing wrong with liking Jamie Noble, although I am not perfectly sure that he is supposed to be face. I enjoyed his 'Horny Hillbilly Runt' gimmick tremendously so far.

| The company understood, that even face-chars are not loved by everyone (like Cena) and on the other hand, we got heels like Edge, who you have to love, cause they're good with everything they're doing! The old borders between the good and evil are gone, a bit.
And I love it#!! | |

And I love it#!! I think Cena was/is hated because of his transformation from a tough-talking rapper to a kid-friendly marine rapper, alot of people jumped on the band waggon, while I didn't see everyone's problem with him, but as everyone else will already have had felt the character has got stale it's only just affecting me.
