Brothers of Destruction

Uh, we kind of started a discussion over at the wrestling-peak-thread , so I thought this would be the perfect moment for me to open a new thread in order to not go off topic to much. So here goes:

Like I said I missed out big time on the era of the Brothers of Destruction, if you want to call it that. I would like you all to tell me what was awesome about it, and what was not.

Also the Brothers' thing still gets used to this very day, as the commentators wet their pants these days when Kane and Undertaker are in the same ring and on the same time about how they have been THE MOST DOMINAT TAG TEAM EVA!!!!

They first started in 1998 but I don't think they were called this. Kane came in, knacked the Undertaker but then became his chum. But (inevitably) Kane turned on him and it started up again. This was when they were both arguably at their best and they did work very well together. Really enjoyed the two of them at this time.

Yeah, I've been able to actively follow events 'till ca. 2000. After that I lost touch, and so did Kane, apparently.

If anyone has any doubts about Kanes ability then take a look at his match with CM Punk on ECW this past week

It is possibly Kanes best non PPV match ever in the WWE

Or Kane doing a Hurracan-thingy on Albert. Now with horrible quality!

I used to love Kane but now....not so much

Kane has been phoning it in for a few years but recently I believe he has shown a desire to end his career on a high note, and while its commendable that he is willing to put over younger talent, I think he still has plenty of life in him yet and would be cheating himself and the fans to continue they way he has been going. His attitude and in ring ability since winning the ECW title has been a breath of fresh air for me

I agree with great-heff. His performances seem a bit more motivated than his random mask-less psycho actions.

however, his team up with CM Punk kinda reminds me of his team up with X-Pac, and the team ups with Hurricane and RVD I read about. Horrible attempts at making him seem more human.

They could make this pairing right by doing a heel turn at the right time with the right person. Punk could be a great guy to send Kane off, they seem to have good chemistry. And plenty of scenarios are thinkable there: Kane being psycho monster heel vs. babyface Punk or vice versa, some third party interfering, Big Daddy V returning, etc.

I really like Kane as the ECW Champ. And I think his match with Big Show at Night Of Chanmpions will be pretty good.

Well, the only occasions Estrada will say that now is when Kane cleans the ring with him.

This tag team was good up until the point they got thier own storylines. Undertaker has always been better and still will be but they need to expand the tag team division for these two to compete on the same side in the future.

They only got a few years left in them so its no or never with these two being reunited as an actual stable.
