- Vince McMahon is about to cut the Cruiserweight division off of Raw because they have been doing so poorly in the ratings. The fact that their matches have been cut down dramatically in regards to time given to them for televised events couple be an indication that ending the Cruiserweight division’s tenure on Raw might be in the cards.
Vince is very angry over the cruiserweights not being able to continue all the hype from the cruiserweight classic and is fed up with giving them so many opportunities. 205 Live is will still continue due much to the fact that Triple H is so heavily involved and it is seen as an asset for the WWE Network to have as much live exclusive programming as possible even though ratings are so poor.

| So they will have to call up Revival and AoP and give the tag division a go?
Or give the US division some competition?
or add to their female division of 4...
Raw is home to dead divisions. It has Roman Reigns, returning stars, Chris Jericho and people's Monday night habitual viewing to thank for it rolling on as normal.
Cruiserweights have been booked to fail, and using talent without real star quality for the most part.

| WWE seem to have missed what made the CWC so good - they got to do stuff that isn't seen very often in a WWE ring. As soon as they got shifted to Raw, the division was done for. Some of the stuff done on the CWC was blindingly good, and yet Vince seems to have not watched it at all, or he's so terrified of the WCW Cruiserweight effect where the mid-card outperformed the headliners.
The cruiserweights they have used as the focal point of the division have been utterly the wrong choices. Rich Swann is a dancing pillock, TJ Perkins has the worst entrance in wrestling and the charisma of a less-charismatic Bobby Lashley... the only one to have gained anything from the division so far is TBK and Neville.
Neville's done great in his role, but who's his next opponent? Once Swann gets his rematch, he can be fired, but after him? WWE either have to shift Kalisto across, re-sign Rey Mysterio or thorw as much money as they can at Ibushi. Anything less than that, they're done for on TV.

| It was so "WWE" to try and tell some fucking story to make you care like TJ being homeless (like nearly all wrestlers who commit to the life are anyway) or Swann losing his parents young. What did anyone gain from that? Really. Swann did well to avoid a bad crowd at that time by wrestling, good. But that isn't really relevant to the current product. He got a contract in WWE, that's where that story should end. Well done you made it, now go and improve the product before you get a title.
We all said early they are picking the wrong guys. Just pick talent with natural wrestling star power, and they will make people care through their matches and demeanour.
They started on Raw by jobbing out Gulak to TJ and Swann, and having random Gran Metalik, Lince dorado, and Tony Nese matches. Like who would ever give a shit about that? And if you actively present some talent as worthless, no one cares when your one dimensional babyface beats them anyway
When Tozawa finally debuted on 205 live, in front of an emotionally exhausted crowd on a come down and that was mostly leaving the arena at the time (after SD's sensational peak of a main event with Ambrose and Styles tearing it up and Miz and Corbin both furthering themselves too) he started to win the crowd around with nothing but in ring action against some enhancement talent. I feel like this is because Psychology will always draw a crowds long term attention better than some flipping. This will always be my opinion. But I thought it was Vince's too, so why did he go the route he did with the CW division???
I always felt it was obvious in the CWC who were the best and had the potential to get the most out of matches through psychology. One ended up getting squashed and made to look stupid weekly, despite Graves trying his hardest to put him over with words. One didn't feature on Raw at all. Two were not signing, and another lost to TJP and Swann all the time. Then the two that were injured for the CWC, or whatever, one being on commentary atm, and one finally getting the belt now Vince wants to ditch it from TV lol.
Oh and one Gentleman, one of the few small successes of the Raw division. But now it's like Tyler Bate is a more serious and better version of him, which is slightly awkward. Especially as indeviduality is everything for a singles star. They would be best keeping Bate and Dunne away from 205 live until it gets on track. Because they are nailed on stars and potentially HHH's future defining talent. Big statement, I know.

| Yeah, it's pretty obvious on Raw who is worth keeping on TV and who isn't lol...
Cedric needs to be kept off for his own good. I wasn't sold on him in the CWC, but obviously he won a lot of people's praise on that, so maybe he just needs to work on his presentation or something. For me he is not ready to be a star on tv. That is different to the complete lame ones who just need to be kept away from everyone's sight for the good of wrestling.
If the Cruiserweights this week were just the one match, with Tozawa and Gulak, and the interview with Aries and Neville it would have been a step forward. Or just set up Gallagher vs Neville. But they fucked it up with overkill.
Overall Raw was/is (I'm still watching it now) a great pace and booked so much better, like the one or two shows after the draft that seemed to get it right. The second Cruiserweight bit was a pointless dip in interest before what is set to be a very interesting, logical enough, and worthy main event on paper.

| It's almost like he was the only choice out of that bunch they could actually make. Someone that got himself over or a plethora of guys still with a lot to learn in the business.
Neville and to some extent Kendrick even got to lay down the facts that some need to listen to in their promos on 205. Specifically Neville saying Ali "Reminds me of me... 10 years ago..."
And Kendrick got to convincingly say "all these guys coming in that don't deserve to yet, apart from Tozawa"
There's a not-so-hidden message in their somewhere lol. This is supposed to be the best group of cruiserweights, and largely it's a bunch of green guys who can do some good things, but that still don't get... IT.
Loan the sketchy ones out to Progress UK, or however it's going to work with the talent development scheme in the UK. There's a lot to be learned there for some. (I do feel the fact there is a lot of real British talent a cut above the rest is a sign that we just naturally absorb what makes wrestling good in our youth, and our wrestling schools really get the message to young talent on how to work to an elite level naturally too.)
