| So for 4 years you build a beast and have him squash to someone who hasn't wrestled for 12 years and made to look completely weak poor booking | |

| I didn't mind it. It wasn't as if both guys kicked out of numerous finishers. goldberg suprised Leanar with the first spear. It was downhill for lesnar from that point. Shows how powerful goldbergs spear is, even brock lesnar couldn't do anything about it. | |

| I actually think Lesnar vs Goldberg worked. It was a shocker, I wouldn't have expected them to be working a 25 minute, AJ Styles-esque epic. Lesnar got an inbuilt excuse ('I didn't take him seriously, Goldberg got lucky'), whilst at the same time, there's the subplot of Can Brock Beat Goldberg?
To get Goldberg to stick around, he had to win. This was his first match in 11 years or something? No-one would have taken it seriously if he started kicking out of the F5 two or three times on his way to winning. this was the only thing WWE could have done, and it worked.
Or I think it did, anyway!

| I agree as well. When Brock lost it had to be to a few moves quick as a shock because Brock couldn't lose a long even match when he's on form. He had to be shocked out of the gate. If Orton had won it would have been just RKO as the bell rang.
I nearly went for a prediction of Goldberg in two moves, but the Heyman line "fans believe Goldberg actually has a chance" stuck with me, and I just don't really care about Goldberg
I'm surprised at how over he has been, I wouldn't have thought it at first, but they are going to make a pile of cash out of them. Brock could cost Goldberg the Rumble, unless Brock is champion by Mania and they want to legitimise the Universal title. That would set up "can Brock defend vs Goldberg, the one man he has never beaten"
I'm guessing now the stuff about Goldberg wanting to work with the new talent is dead in the water and Brock and Goldberg can just overshadow Raw's development lol.

| I personally think the Goldberg chant is more over than Goldberg than himself if that makes sense. Even Heyman struggles to get his point across on the raw before survivor series because of the crowd. I just hope it's just a phase and doesn't continue like the "yes" movement!

| I wonder how much of it is down to Ryback? If he hadn't have appeared a few years back and started the Goldberg chants again, would they still be going? | |

| WWE has been bombarding fans with adverts with GOLDBERG on, then did his hometown show. And Heyman kept doing the reverse psychology DON'T CHANT GOLDBERG OR I'LL BE ANNOYED, schtick.
It's pretty easy to make a crowd do what you want, especially if you have a Paul Heyman level mind around.
Heard his merch sales were sky high though, after being topped by Ellsworth at one point haha
