Backstage Update on When CM Punk Might Return to RAW and His Injuries

CM Punk actually has 4 different injuries to his knee at one time. Punk has a lot of pain in his lower leg but not the knee itself, despite the number of injuries. He has a strained ACL and other torn ligaments.

Before the leg injury, Punk was already planning on taking time off after WrestleMania 29 because he was mentally burnt out. Doctors advised him to stay out of the ring at least 6 weeks. He will not be at this Monday's RAW from England and how soon WWE asks him to return will likely depend on how the ratings are over the next few weeks.

He will return at Payback in Chicago.

He's advised to be out for a minimum of 6 weeks anyway, so may be touch and go for how long he wants to be out for.

Maybe to return that night in a non physical role? Well non wrestling at least. End of the WWE title match whoever the winner celebrating in the ring and Punk's music hits and he comes out and makes the belt signal to show his intent, either ends there or rushes the ring to beat down the champ.

But will they want to bring him back in his home city cos he's gunna get massive cheers , i know that sounds stupid as sounds like more reason for him to come back then but i remember reading that WWE didnt bring Punk out raw after mania cos they didnt want him getting a good reception

Different with it being his home town though. Night after mania he's disappearing anyway, he's returning here, I reckon he'd get a decent reception almost anywhere. It would also be a massive talking point to kick off the feud and get people watching Raw.

Maybe Brock lesnar is in a match and looses. Lesnar blames heyman and goes to F5 him. Punks music hits and he makes the save. Not necessarily beating down lesnar but enough distraction to stop heyman being F5'd. This would make punk face I'd assume.

That's a sound plan, but what if it does happen and Punk becomes a face and Heyman sides with Punk and that makes him a face also, how well would Heyman work as a face? But who would do the talking for Lesnar?

How about this. Think of a women going back to an abusive husband. Heyman sticking with Brock to protect punk but still being a heel to everyone else? Something like that amywah

I get what you mean, could work like that. Either way it could be a good storyline/angle/feud/reasonable debate amongst Punk/Lesnar/Heyman.
