Mystery WWE Superstar Rants On The Rock

On the eve of The Rock’s much anticipated return to Raw next Monday night, an anonymous WWE superstar has ranted about ‘The People’s Champion’ to the internet.

PWInsider.com reports that they received a text message after John Cena’s promo on The Rock last night where Cena criticised Rock for not sticking around with the WWE and promised to take down “The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment” in his own hometown of Miami, Florida at WrestleMania 28.

A lot of WWE performers backstage were happy with Cena’s comments and said they were spot on with how they felt about The Rock’s return.

The unnamed WWE Superstar whose wish for anonymity was granted by PWInsider wrote;

“[The Rock] comes in to use WWE to get back the audience he lost doing Disney movies, which is fine but he’s been back over a year and name one person he helped make a bigger star since then? No one.

“He’s here for himself, he keeps to himself, and he keeps someone who’s actually touring here all year from making a bigger payday at the bigger shows. It’s all about making this the “biggest” Mania of all time. OK, then what do we do the rest of the year? Who’s been made? You think he took ANY blame for Survivor [Series] not drawing? Of course not, but how do you feud with a guy on the Titantron? Cena nailed the guy dead on tonight.

“Say anything about HHH, Taker, etc. still being in the top spot but if they were needed to work the road, they would and they would still work their asses off as much as they needed to. Rock is out for Rock and the idea he’s here to better anything but his own wallet is the biggest work of 2012.”

Though we have to stay that one thing these WWE superstars are forgetting is that The Rock’s return and star power brings with it a bigger pay-per-view buyrate for WrestleMania 28, making every WWE superstar more money in their biggest payday of the year.

That's what I initially thought too but I'm sure Miz isn't stupid enough to make these comments knowing the heat he's got on him anyway

The argument is there about The Rock not working with WWE full-time but some feel that you don't want The Rock around every month because he's a special attraction.

While there are some people openly complaining about The Rock, it's said that you mostly hear about the negative feedback from people who are upset at The Rock's haters.

Any bitching going on about Jericho?

He may not be as big an attraction as the Rock, but he's still coming in to pick up a WrestleMania paycheck before probably going on hiatus with Fozzy again.

You could argue that while he's back, Jericho has been full time but since he returned in 2007, Jericho has been full time for the majority of that 4/5 period. Up until last year, wasn't the Rock's last in-ring appearance at WM 20 in 2004? There are reasons why the Rock hasn't, and will not be full time but he's not the first guy to swan in to take the limelight and he won't be the last. I think it's fair to look at the situation with suspicion, but it's not fair to single the Rock out.

I think whoever sent the message in into PWInsider has got some parts right but then again I do agree with Rocky.

Jericho is working week in week out while he is with wwe is why i think he isn't being tergeted, he will work the house shows etc, he will do stuff not in the ring, and is likely to be there till summerslam apparantly, so he's giving a good half a year to wwe.
