CM Punk-Cena update, Samoa Joe to WWE?, WWE releases news, The Rock appreances updates

- Those close to the situation note that Samoa Joe has been talking seriously about looking at joining WWE when his contract expires in several months.

- TNA has reportedly not brought back Matt Hardy or Jeff Hardy to TV yet because the company wants them both to check into rehab but they have refused.

- Word is that the CM Punk vs. John Cena match at Sunday's SummerSlam will be given a lot of time, more than usual. Within WWE, it's known that this pay-per-view has turned out to be basically a one match show.

- Regarding the WWE releases from last week, all those cut will be paid by WWE up until early November and until then, will be under a non-compete clause. They will be allowed to make certain appearances but can't work with TNA at least until then.

- Provided his movie commitments don't get in the way, WWE is going with the idea that The Rock will make an appearance at next year's big three shows - the Royal Rumble and SummerSlam pay-per-views, and of course WrestleMania 28 to wrestle John Cena. Rock is also scheduled for a Survivor Series appearance this year and officials are hoping they can squeeze more appearances out of him.

A motivated Joe on Smackdown would be awesome...

After the way Joe's been treated ever since Hogan came on the scene i'm not suprised Joe wants out as even wrestling in FCW and NXT would be better than what he's doing now.

Jesus, how much filler promos and backstage skits are there going to be on Sunday. I can see a Broski Barbecue taking place which is where/when CeeLo Green performs.

Joe needs to lose weight b4 WWE will look at him, thought they weren't interested earlier in year when his contract was up.

its probably just talking himself up to try and get noticed in the tna lockeroom, wwe arent gonna be interested in him

i also think there are gonna be a few matches added after sd from the raw side, ziggler vs riley, and probably a tag match of kofi and rey vs del rio and miz if they need to protect reyor 2 singles matches if they dont

I cant see WWE using Joe. His character was ruined for me when he started putting that face paint crap on and started using a knife. I was a big Joe fan from when he had the title in ROH and when he went into TNA and was X-Division champion and was actually booked like a killer but now hes became a bit of a joke which is a shame because if he'd have been booked better he could went up to WWE (and obviously kept his weight down) and been a big hit.

Im sure Punk may put in a good word for him though as they seem to be rehiring Cabana so he obviously has some pull backstage now.

I remember reading that Joe was supposed to be Umaga before the guy out of 3 Minute Warning got it. I wonder if he would have been a success as Umaga

If Joe does go to WWE he will still get that umaga gimmick.

Might add Byran v Barrett as well or Cody v Jackson

surely a reason for not hiring joe apart from him not having the look, is his personality. Could get very disruptive on a huge wwe roster, especially with the shite wwe push

You do know the last TNA mainevent before Hogan and Bischoff started was a 3-way between AJ, Daniels and Samoa Joe for the Heavyweight title and not long after Daniels was jobbing to everyone in site and Joe was taken off TV, whilst Hogan on interviews outside of TNA (ie; Bubba Love Sponges radio show) stated he isn't happy about pushing people who shouldn't be in the mainevent picture and alot of theories on what he ment by that as some reckon that was aimed at AJ which is why soon after they put him with Flair.

Even when he was midcard he was doing better than he is now as they have turned Joe from a Cena like big name, to a glorified Trent Barretta and lets face it Joe is jobbing because they don't want to use him.

aj daniels and joe shouldn't be in the main event scene anyway to be fair. It's tough titties but dixie obviously values hogan and what he brings to the table than joe and what he does. And being fair hogan brought it. Main event scene of sting, angle, jeff hardy, rvd, abyss and anderson just to kick off and grab attention. Now setting up the future with the bfg series. Matt morgan is probably right how it was designed for him, could see him and crimson being top, two definate future main event long stays. Feathers were ruffled but that had to be the case to make an impact!

Morgan is out due to injury, so it's clear Crimson will win it overall.

Personally TNA's going downhill and no amount of big names from WWE, WCW and ECW will fix that problem when the script writers are crap.

Sorry but old TNA was better and the only thing that held them back at the time was lack of TV deal and lack of money, which is why I don't want ROH to get mainstream as old TNA was like ROH is now.

Seriously I reccomend checking out early TNA stuff as it was alot better and seemed more original than the glorified WCW we see today.

BTW the ratings have stayed the same since Hogan and Bischoff have arrived, so they can't have brought much to the table.
