| i think they will see how big a pop the ring gets, how the ex wwe stars hold up in it and then keep it. The square ring they got is smaller than wwe ones and the 6 has more floor space i think | |

| I reckon TNA needs the 6 sided ring back permantly as it will help get the X-Division back to it's former glory due it being a spot fest ring (hence why Mexico's AAA promotion still use it) and also they could bring back the 8-way matches with 1 in each corner and 2 in the ring... plus other matches too such as 6 sides of steel.
So hopefully Hogan and the rest of the dinosaurs swallow their pride, move with the times and adapt to the 6 sided ring because if used properly it is good to watch.

Yeah, but ONLY if it is used properly, which 90% of the time it wasn't. They shouldn't go back to it, they have made their decision to go to a four sided ring, it would make them look unprofessional if they were to change their mind again and go back. They already messed up like that by changing the day of the show, and it would just look so stupid if they kept on making decisions and then going back on them. For one thing, it will push viewers away who can't be arsed trying to follow the show. I agree with Mack, that if they really want to bring it back, bring it back just for this PPV as a novelty act.

| unprofessional they moved to mondays and then came back to thursdays. 6-side is what made them different from wwe and it also helped the x-division which was the main draw to tna for me. I think they should bring it back | |

| The 6 sided ring was part of the TNA identity that made them stand apart from WWE. if they want to appeal to a more adult audience than WWE, then they should revert:
UFC - very adult product, 8 sided 'ring'. WWE - PG product, 4 sided ring.
If TNA go back to th 6 sided ring, it's a sign thast they're trying to bridge the gap between WWE and UFC, in terms of the age of the target audience. It'll also appeal to the fans that have moved away from TNA by them becoming a crapper version of TNA.
I don't buy the argument that they look amateur if they go back, either. if anything, they could say it shows they listen to the fans, the original ways are the best, anything along those lines.
They need to dump the walkway from the back to the ringside though. That is what is screwing up a lot of the ringside action more than anything.

For one thing, it will push viewers away who can't be arsed trying to follow the show. Correction, it would make Hogan and Bischoff look stupid as they have made so many u-turns as of late including bringing Daniels back in a big storyline when originally they got rid of him and said he's not that good, hes too small, etc... also they dropped a bollock by getting rid of Kong in favour of Hogans radio buddy (whats his name Love sponge), plus they signed wrong people like Scott Hall who keeps messing up, trying to bury people like Jarret only for them to u-turn and also Hulk and his cronies constantly slagging off TNA's past which they are now going back too, etc... so it seems to me like it was Hogan and Bischoff who are wrong and that they are slowly realising that TNA in the old days was better than it is now because whilst they got new fans tuning in going “Hulk Hogans in TNA i'll watch it now”, the sad reality is the quality has gone downhill, the storylines are crap and not as much wrestling happens as they used to and if I was Dixie Carter I would be thinking to myself “I wish the audience we have now were around to see TNA in the glory days”. As for the six sided ring, any one who has seen the old TNA shows and PPVs know that the in ring stuff was alot better and 50% of that had to be due to the six sided ring as it had more room (even around it) and allowed them to do more stuff from more angles which is probabbly why the X-Division was so popular back then... Just see Mexico's AAA lucha promotion on how to use a six sided ring and you'll see what diffrence it makes to high flyers. I think the main problem is people like Hogan seem to think people were not watching TNA back in them days due to the ring they had back then (even though they did have a 4 sided ring before the 6 sided ring) which just isn't true, it was down to the fact that they lacked big names and was not on a big network station and to me old TNA was like ROH is now (hardly suprising as most in there used to be in TNA such as Austin Aeries) whilst TNA these days just looks like a poor mans WCW trying to imitate WWE badly.

| I'm pretty sure TNA viewing figures have actually stayed pretty much the same since Hogan and co. came in. I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere. | |

They have stayed roughly where they were before Hogan and Bkschoff appeared - which consideing the cash they've lashed out on signing RVD, Ric Flair, Anderson, Jeff Hardy, Mickie James, Fatt Hardy, renewing Sting's contract, bringing in their old mates like the Nasty's for a short run... it's pretty shit, to be honest. To be fair, TNA does have a strong roster. it's just being used so, so poorly, nothing makes any sense, none of the storylines stay consistent... it'll take more than the 6-sided ring coming back to repair the damage. They need to chop at least half the roster, give joe a reason to care about what he does again, and concentrate on doing better on the things WWE does so badly (promotion of new talent, worthwhile gimmick matches, the tag division...)

I couldn't agree more as the only consistant storyline this year so far is the Kurt Angle vs Jeff Jarett fued and even thats starting to drag on now.

| I think this can work in tna's favour by having foley stick it to hogan and his stupid ideas it will create a good storyline and please the tna fans of old. I have noticed how the matches have alot more breaks in them now, i dont know why. But one reason i got bored of wwe and was willing to give tna its second chance was the time in matches spent lying on the floor doing fuck all was alot in wwe and not much in tna. Not the case anymore The pincale of this being at the ppv. | |

| Every time I try and watch TNA, I end up switching off. one of the big criticisms of WWE is that they push the huge bodybuilder types ahead of the workers - and yet the last time I watched TNA, they still employ Rob Terry, the Gunner and Murphy pair who are just talentless roid-heads...

I agree with you, but sadly Hulk has stated that he doesn't like small guys maineventing such as Daniels and AJ styles, he doesn't like high flyers which is why “the play pen ring” had to go, he believes those who look like wrestlers and are built like wrestlers should get pushed which is what he tried to do with Abyss. If i'm being honest though both TNA and WWE have gone downhill as of late and i'm sick of their stupidly long storylines like Kurt vs Jeff and Cole vs King, i'm sick of there pointless adverts which both have too many of these days, i'm sick of the messed up storylines and stupid stuff happening by both companies as even WWE has managed to turn the big hit Nexus stuff from last year, which was most talked about that year and they turn it into the current crap we have now... and on TNA we had 'They' who turned out to be Immortal, then we had 'They' again who turned out to be 4tune leaving Immortal even though Crimson and Scott Steiner started the whole 'They' thing the second time and now they are doing solo stuff? Both companies need to look at there past history and go back to doing what worked which means WWE should go back to the Attitude Era and TNA needs to go back to the days when the X-Division was it's biggest selling point and in order for TNA to do that they must bring back the 6-sided ring.
