RVD says hes bigger than TNA, Sin Cara interacts with the Miz, WWE announces date for the Draft

Rob Van Dam participated in an interview with Stu Stone of MTV's Blowin U and discussed his tenures with ECW and WWE. He also explained why he believes he is bigger than TNA.

"It's different fun. When I was in ECW, all the major companies were jockeying for me and trying to sign me up. I was building my name up and at the same time i was using my momentum for the betterment of the company," Van Dam said.

"Now I'm a bigger star than the company actually because TNA doesn’t have the name brand recognition yet."

RVD made similar comments last August in the following blog post on his official website, which garnered a negative reaction in the locker room. It also prompted then-TNA talent Kevin Nash to lash out at RVD on Twitter.

"I'd imagine a lot of the old TNA guys are feeling like they're taking a back seat. The thing is...you can't argue with the numbers. Last week TNA broke new all-time records for ratings! TNA needed a change. The 6-sided ring and the great technical wrestlers -that nobody knew-wasn't working. TNA brought in two rock stars, and look at the company now! Dixie often points out how hiring Jeff Hardy and RVD started a whole new era, why do some of the wrestlers not see it? Too, young, too green, too selfish to have the correct perspective. Whereas some of the TNA "stars" are lucky to get recognized walking around the studios, Jeff and myself live like actual celebrities, signing autographs and taking pictures EVERYWHERE we go. Without experiencing this, it's probably hard to imagine. In fact, very few wrestlers stick out in people's minds the way that Jeff and I do. WE love our fans and we love their love. TNA is blowing up. Good things will come our way and I see it all happening now."

"This is a very exciting time. More people watching TNA means more people exposed to the other wrestlers on the card too...as long as they're good enough to hang around with the rising standards."

- WWE continued to tease a main event spot for Sin Cara after he defeated Tyson Kidd at the April 17th RAW show in Nottingham, England and had a confrontation with WWE Champion The Miz and Alex Riley. Later on after Riley and Miz attacked John Cena in the main event, Cara came out to make the save.

The entire roster of WWE Superstars and Divas will take part in the 2011 WWE Draft next week, April 25, on MONDAY NIGHT RAW live on USA Network at 9/8c.

In a thrilling night of television, all WWE Superstars and Divas, including WWE Champion The Miz, John Cena, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio and Sin Cara along with WWE Divas Champion Brie Bella, Eve and Kelly Kelly could be drafted to either RAW or SmackDown.

After Monday Night’s momentous draft, John Cena could be on “Friday Night Smackdown,” which airs each week on Syfy at 8/7c and Rey Mysterio could be coming to MONDAY NIGHT RAW.

The Annual WWE Draft is a chance to renew old rivalries or have WWE Superstars face off against each other for the very first time, bringing a new and fresh feel to each show.

Whilst i'm a fan of RVD, I have to agree with you about RVD in TNA, as ever since he arrived in TNA I hated him for these reasons:

I hated him beating a big name legend (Sting) in a quick squash match on his first day, which did nothing for either of them.

I hated his “storyline” rant at AJ Styles which he proclaimed himself the new Mr TNA and then went on to slag of TNA's past like it ment nothing, basically shitting on the company aswell as the TNA originals and I sense it was a shoot (see next point which adds to my suspicions on this rant being for real).

I hated his constant tweets and interviews about him and Jeff being rockstars, that TNA was nothing without them and TNA was an indy promotion before he, Jeff and Hulk came along, (even though it's been going for ages before he arrived and even after a year in TNA he still refers to TNA as an indy promotion), so it makes you think if the AJ rant was a shoot?

I hated the way they made it out that RVD was injured so he had to forfeit the title, yet he came back to wrestle the same night as they crowning a new champion (basically when he returned, he was the last title holder and at the time of his match they had no champion) as this seemed like a cop out so he can drop the title without losing.

I don't like him for another reason connected to this - he did the big backstage beatdown, Bischoff announced that he was being held together by metals plates, thousands of stitches and all that jazz... then a few weeks later RVD calls in to the show during his 'recovery'... and doesn't mention the beating or the storyline once because he apparently thought it was stupid. I know the angle was crap to start with, but when the major player refuses to sell it at all, it just ruins gives all the people who slate TNA for their dumbass booking more ammunition.
