- Sources report that there was a massive last-minute re-write of RAW on Monday afternoon. Early in the afternoon, they were going with Triple H vs. The Undertaker at SummerSlam and Taker vs. John Cena at WrestleMania 28. A few hours later they made The Rock vs. Cena announcement, which is a significant change within just a few hours.
There's a feeling that the long-term plan has always been to build WrestleMania 28 around The Rock, even if he wouldn't agree to wrestle. This could have played a factor in WWE's decision to choose Miami as the host city. It's possible that Rock will also go into the Hall of Fame next year.

| Would of prefered Taker v Cena. Heel Cena v the streak. Taker to win and retire 20-0. | |

| I agree Mackem. I would have preffered to see Taker vs cena as it means having to see HHH vs Taker again not that its a bad thing, its just that its been done before and the match that they had last sunday was the first time theyve had a meaningful fued (that I can remember) in like 10 years. | |

Like WrestleMania 27 was built around him?

Have Cena appear to win the match and break the streak, let the crowd go apeshit for a couple of minutes before restarting the match in a inventive way which Taker wins.

It's being held in Miami, the main reason Miami was chosen was because of The Rock, he will likely head the class of 2012 HOF and now WWE have tied him into wrestling...oopsss having a match at WM28 infront of his hometown. Like its not going to be built around him......

I know all of the reasons why WWE have chosen to build Mania 28 around him, but being the guest host and interfering heavily in the main event like he did at Mania 27 also could be seen as having the PPV built around you. I just don't want them to overkill the whole "look, it's Rock at WrestleMania, everyone watch to see what he does!" thing.

| It's WWE, of course they'll overkill it. With a whole year, I'll guarantee you now that every match Cena has will involve the commentators saying something along the lines of '(insert wrestler name here) is only a warm-up for Cena's battle with the Rock at Wrestlemania 28!'
Let's face it, the only way this could get over-shadowed is if Trips tears a quad.
