PS3 recommendations

I'm after any recommendations for some decent PS3 games to play. So far, my collection includes:

Completed;

Red Dead Redemption
Uncharted
Assassins Creed 2
Batman: Arkham Asylum

Playing:

Uncharted 2

To play:

Metal Gear Solid 4.


basically, with a kid on the way (found out it's a girl, by the way) and having to buy a cot, pram and all that, I'm after games similar to the above, where you play a longer storyline and have various missions and stuff that I'll be able to find pre-owned fairly cheap. I don't like first person shooters, and I'm not keen on stuff like FIFA, Pro Evo, and thought GTA4 sucked.

Any recommendations?

when i had a ps1 i played final fantasy i assume there ps3 exclusive dunno if there any good still but maybe take a look on metacritic as awell oh and congrats on the kid

Can't think of many games for PS3 that fit the bill that you haven't already listed. Some people were raving about Heavy Rain earlier in the year, although technically it's more like an interactive movie than a proper game. If you wait a month Mafia 2 will be out, which hopefully will be as good as the original, that'll be full price of course though.

infamous was pretty good for a debut game

i no you got uncharted 2 but is the best game on PS3

replaying Assassins creed 2 atm, only when playing 2 straight after 1 do you realise how much better it is.

Get Fallout, lasts for like 100+ hours and it'll be dirt cheap now.

Fallout 3, sort of a first person shooter, but not a proper one like Halo or CoD, a roleplay game.

Oblivion, made by the same guys as Fallout 3, massive map, loads to do.

Star Wars: Force Unleashed if you interested in that sort of thing

Force Unleashed was absolute shite! If it didn't have the Star Wars name attached to it, it would have totally bombed.
