- Have far too much money? Don?t feel like splurging on an iPad, even though it seems to have some rather nice games? Then why not update that tired old 2D HDTV for a shiny new 3D TV? Now seems the perfect time as Sony have set the date for PSN 3D titles to go live according to Andria Sang. That?s right; on June 10th Wipeout HD, Super Stardust HD and Mr. Pain will be getting 3D updates. So what?s the downside? Well, the only real issue is that Mr. Pain will cost 300 yen (about £2.20) to unlock the 3D mode, Wipeout HD and Super Stardust HD will update to the third dimension for free. But wait, there?s more! If you?re still not sold on spending all your money on 3D technology, Sony will throw in a bonus if you go for one of their 3D enabled Bravia TVs. That?s right, if you pick up a Bravia 3D TV, you?ll get a demo of Motorstorm 2 in 3D to really show off your new tech. What more could you ask for?

| As much as I like the whole 'bring IMAX to home viewing' idea thats going on as of late, they are all a bit steep as you need a special TV which is over £1000 and even some of them don't come with the glasses you need for it (yes they make you by them seperately) and apart from Sky Sports 3D and the 2 PS3 games you mentioned, is it really worthy forking out all that money?
It may take off next year though when more 3D channels and games come out, but for now, it seems like a big expensive experiment. | |
