What are everyone's thoughts about the Celtic Warrior?

For me I feel he has been thrust down the viewers throats. It is no secret he is one of HHH's friends in the locker room which should stand you in good stead for a future. But the rise of this guy has been phenomenal, from feuding with Goldust and the winning streak to become WWE champion.

I am no lover of John Cena and I remember watching TLC live and when Cena went through the table I was shocked and delighted. The euphoria of a new champion from Europe and the end of Cena's reign excited me.

But as Sheamus went into the New Year as Champ I became inscreasingly frustrated with him. I realised he hasn't got the greatest moveset in the business and despite my love for the Irish voice, I couldn't really stand him on the microphone, I then began to dislike Sheamus and wished that WWE would put the belt back on someone else at the Royal Rumble. Which did not occur.

So as was continually forced on us I began resenting him - not because of his heel persona but the fact I could not engage in the character unlike many heels that have occured prior to him, hence the likes of Jericho, Edge and CM Punk being amongst my favourites at the moment.

So questions:
What are everyone's thoughts on Sheamus?

and most important of all
If HHH does indeed inherit the company, is Sheamus the first of many a breed to be shoved down our throatd mainly because he is pals with "the boss"?

I quite like it Jac tbh. The size and power that he has is well suited as a heel. Making him a monster is a good way to use him.

Agreed, he hasnt got the best move set but in the role he plays he doesnt need it. Just destroying guys with power is fine with me.

Unsure about being shoved down our throats. He get plenty of air time now so i don't thing it will happen when / i HHH takes over

tbh im kind of wondering where WWE's top stars are at?

we expect if some young talent is pushed it will be atleast half decent entertainment wise. but imo the pastey waster will never be a top face and not even a top heel when history looks back on the wwe.

so I kind of think, nice try but...NEEEEEEEEXT...

I didnt see the attraction in him at first. but i think he's actually pretty good, i think he would suit some new music as his current one is a bit shat and his hair needs flattening down, obviously theres nothing to do about his skin pigment but that just gives the face's cheap ammo for pops.
i think HHH is more in tune with the fans that VKM, if HHH took over obviously there would be certain poltics going on and sure i think he would push his freinds but i think he would put the buisness first, if his pals dont work then he would push who the fans are reacting to the most.

I think he is decent enough on the mic, I find him quite funny. His in ring ability is good also but I dont think it is devastating enough to retire people, Jamie Noble, or put one of the company's best on the shelf, Triple H.

That being said, I think he is definately a big star for the future because he is coming through the ranks really well and he is more than holding his own in the main event scene over on Raw.

In the next 5-7 years he will be a top main eventer in the WWE along with The Miz, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler, unless unforscene circumstances change this.

Have to agree with CS.

Sheamus is friends with HHH because they are like minded. Sheamus works his arse off and pays attention to what is going on rather than doing his match and going home. He has been thrust forward, but he is still learning.

He has a unique look which helps him and is more than decent on the stick...fella.
He is limited in ring, but that is no impediment to success in the WWE if you can tell a story. Right now, his stories are short because of the image they are looking to put forward for him. It works.

It takes time for us to get used to something new, no matter how much we say we want it.

i do like his promo's "OI!" and "Fella!" make me smirk, in a few years i think Sheamus is going to be the top draw in WWE, its fantastic that someone from this side of the pond has done so well in such a small space of time.
