Well its still early in the US, its only 2pm, it will be out later today probably

My 'guess' for this week will be RAW 3.8
iMPACT 0.8

Although I wouldn't be surprised if RAW got a 4. something this week

no shock Raw pulled that over Stone cold was the highest seg

The final numbers are in for the Monday Night War, week two.

WWE RAW scored a 3.7 cable rating, up from last week's 3.4 for the show last night hosted by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

The disappointing news was the number for TNA Impact, which came in at an 0.8, down from last week's 1.0.

impact guess was spot on gaff

I stated when the news came out about Impact going to Monday nights that I believed it was a mistake especially being that they are only 'live' every other week. For me they should have targeted WWE's weakness and that's SD on Fridays. With SD being taped on a Tuesday night they should have gone live every week against it and it would instantly have the older fans turning over as in general they read up on spoilers anyway.

I can see the Impact ratings gradually getting worse to be honest. I think tey've gone about this all wrong, expecting to be able to challange two months after Hogan 'took over'. They should've improved the product on Thursday nights, got a bigger fan base there first and maybe a year or so down the line move to mondays. They're trying to create WCW v_2 and it's not going to work

TNA need to get it into there heads that they aren't going to challange WWE and should focus on improveing there product. I'm annoyed TNA got a 0.8 as I found it far more enjoyable than Raw. I guess Stone Cold drew alot of drifters

raws lowest rating of the year was when tna went up against it, but it was until this week also tnas lowest, where the fuck did all the wrestling fans go last week?

Not too suprised by iMPACTS rating going down if I'm being honest. The show was taped this week, so naturally the number of viewers will go down. And Raw had Stone Cold, doesn't interest me but there are plenty out there who will have been interested in Stone Cold guest hosting. I think if TNA's ratings haven't improved in about 6 months time, then they should start to worry.

I've heard it mentioned that TNA made a mistake in going to Monday's during WrestleMania season. I for one don't agree with this at all. TNA are showing their product (in just getting started under Hogan/Bischoff) to be better than WWE's at the WWE's hottest time. This to me is smart thinking.

The lack of promotion/advertising is TNA's biggest problem, imo.

If they are going to stick it out on Mondays then they have to be live EVERY single week, most fans have wised up to spoilers nowadays and given a choice of watching a show that they already know the result of and a new show then which are you going to watch when it first shows?

Ridiculous decision to go up against WWE during the run up to WM, and even more ridiculous to have some of you're shows taped.

arn't there 300m people in the US? anyways it means it accounts for a smaller % of the population.

20,000 = a tiny amount of the US population easily under 1%

Those stupid TV executives wasting millions a year, they must feel really stupid.

I'm not saying TNA won't make money off of having better ratings. Of course they will, companies will pay more to have their adverts during TNA's show. I'm just saying because they got a low rating it doesn't mean people aren't watching it.

You can say that about any show though, it doesn't mean they aren't watching it, it also doesn't mean they are.

Wrestling message board activity being high for TNA doesn't mean anything, because if you look at most of it, its a small amount of people saying the same over and over again.

If people want to help TNA's rating, then they need to watch it on TV and not on the Internet, and if TNA want to help their rating then they need to spend money on advertising(I'm sure they could find cash by getting rid of some of Hogans boys/girl), and be themselves and stop taking shots at the competition, it makes them look pathetic and B-movie.

Is it accurate? I've never believed it was however multi-million dollar advert contracts are based on these ratings so I'd fully expect people wih shit loads more knowledge than me has faith in it so for me it must work.

As for TNA PPV's

I think I read that they don't break the 20,000 buy rates regularly and even one PPV last year only hit 7,000 buys

I'm basically saying that while its impossible to know if the ratings are 100% accurate the buyrates for TNA PPV's would suggest if anything they are actually being generous to TNA because PPV buyrates don't reflect a big fan base at all unfortunately!

I think TNA are doing a very steady job of putting out a decent product each week, which should be the priority for now. They could do with some better marketing, for sure.

There's only a minority of people who can actually watch TNA on TV though. American's who have Spike. I usually tend to also watch the Sunday episodes on Bravo but have to use the internet for anything live, like a lot of people I would've thought.

Sorry mate, I thought the advertising contracts that would come with ratings was pretty obvious and didn't feel the need to post it. I was just showing not may houses are actually used for the ratings. Apologies.

all i can think is, why does hulk seem so up on spike tv. To me they seem a little bit well bravo. Surely hulk could command a better deal? Get it in the mainstream, clinch advertising deals and make things as accessible as you can, or alot of people will just watch online even americans

You see I also think this is a weak argument and slightly desperate in an attempt to justify poor ratings

Monday Night RAW was on Spike for years and where constantly getting 4s and 5s with 7m+ watching the shows on a weekly basis so that there is proof that Spike can get and have got that kind of audiance in the past
