tbh when they had hornswoggle vs mini boogeyman i found it hilarious due to it being a 1 off but after a while

I've been thinking on the whole 'midget' thing and wondered if wrestlings fasination with them harps back to when wrestling was a carney attraction and the midgets were another sideshow with the rest of the freaks.

tbh wrestling has always been based on trying to shock and awe people, just in modern times people coudlnt give a shit cos the internet is full of niche market shocks.

They had a midget wrestling division on SmackDown a few years ago, didn't last long, thank god, but it was part of this weird angle in which a TV executive (called Palmer Cannon I believe) from the channel which SD was being broadcast on began interfering and generally pissing off Teddy Long lol.
