Ive been a Scott Hall 'mark' since his early WCW days, dont really remember being a big fan of Razor. And through all his troubles this guy is one of the most honest blokes in wrestling. Just listened to an interview of his where he talks about all sorts of shit. And every single one of his answers were dead honest. Example: One caller asks him why he doesnt get a computer to talk to his fans. His reply was "I dont feel I have to please all you fans in cyberspace."
Every answer he gave was completely honest and he has such a carefree attitude to what people think. He couldnt care less whether fans cheer or boo him, as long as they aren't silent. He openly admits he only joined WCW for the money. When he found out what they were gonna pay Pac. He wanted to see what they would pay him. When he saw how much and the days off aswell, he was gone.
He states characters and gimmicks are a huge part of getting over. He was also talking about the young guys bitching and moaning about not getting pushes. Scott says they need to show how good they are and show they can get ratings and sell PPV's. He puts over AJ and Morgan as the ones.
Talks about his past troubles with Jerry Saggs. And how after Hall had supposedly 'injured' Saggs neck with a strong chair shot to the head. The next time they wrestled, Saggs legitimately beat Hall up. Bischoff wanted to fire Saggs but Hall just said he wouldnt wrestle him again, as that should have been done in the locker room or the car park.
Says he wasnt keen when he first got called about TNA. But when Hulk personally called him, he was very flattered and accepted. Talks about his role in TNA and says he doesnt really know what hes doing at the minute. And he doesnt watch the show!
But he has faith in Eric Bischoff and knows he will come up with something good. He also talks about what happens on iMPACT and his role at Against All Odds. Wont go into to that because of the spoilers.
Scott talks about his problems with drugs and the fact he cant drive a car, because he knows he will drink and drive. So he just doesnt drive at all. Also says about how he was on all the steroids and that in WWF. And his respect for the Hart family and the fact that when they performed in Canada they would all go to Bret house. He mentions its a shrine to himself. There isnt a room in the house that doesnt have a picture of him in his wrestling gear, even above his bed.
Hall puts over Sid Vicious.
He says he pulled his hamstring before Genesis and pulled out because he didnt want to go out their half assed and limping on his return.
Going live on Mondays is the most important thing in Hall's eyes. He aint liking Vince's product at the minute and thinks TNA can get people to switch over. Talks about previous Monday Night Wars.
There was a lot of laughs in the interview aswell and more discussed. Was such an honest interview and a really good listen, for anyone thats a fan of Scott Hall?
