According to Dave Meltzer there is talk of Bret Hart hosting the 1/4 Raw vs TNA iMPACT! and believe it or not Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon has been talked about as a match for Wrestlemania 26. thought they wouldnt do anything big on that night if they get him to do it then WWE will beat TNA

Hmmm! I don't know what to make of this.

If Vince isn't really worried about TNA then why would he be clutching at straws like this?

And if it did happen what would the atmosphere be like between Hart, HBK and Trips

As for Hart vs Vince at 'Mania, didn't McMahon say he was retired from in ring competiton when Piper challanged him a few weeks back. But then again this is WWE we're talking about, when has anything said in the past been taken serious apart from 'Taker's streak

Good point, I hadn't really thought about that. Although we do seem to have gone back in time by around 15 years pitting Bret Hart vs Hulk Hogan on a monday night to boost ratings (that's if it happens that is)

One of my favourite wrestlers ever but not quite sure how much of a draw he is right now. Hasn't been active for about 10 years and his career sort of fizzled out in WCW. It isn't as if he's even been involved in anything. Add to that how young the audience is now and it doesn't spell total success. Certainly not compared to Hogan.

Regarding the Vince vs Bret Wrestlemania idea - I thought Bret couldn't legally wrestle again, as his insurance company paid him a shedload of money when he retired due to injury? I thought if he actually wrestled again, he'd have to repay the cash.

I could see him back in the corner of a wrestler as a manager (Hart Dynasty would be the obvious ones), against a wrestler of Vince's in the same vein as the Hair vs Hair match at Mania 23. But not actually wrestling, I'd be surprised.
