Randy's best reign?

So what World Title reign of Randy Orton did you enjoy the most and why?

He is a 6 time World Champion, 5 time WWE and 1 time World Heavyweight Champion

He has received a lot of criticism during a few of his title reigns but what reign do you remember the best and think of as the most enjoyable?

5 time WWE champ? I only remember him having 2. My favourite being his second reign when he won the title from Ric Flair. That reign he played the part of the underdog face perfectly, constantly selling a bad leg which I always felt added a lot of drama to his matches around that time.

He got handed it at No Mercy when Cena got injured, Triple H challenged and beat him for it then dropped it at the nd of the night to him, thats two, then he won it this year at Backlash in that 6 man tag match, he then dropped it to Batista who got 'injured' so he won it the following week on RAW in a fatal four way with Show, Cena and Trips, then he dropped it to Cena in an I Quit match at Breaking Point but regained it again at Hell in a Cell

My favourite was when he was holding it in the run up to Mania this year.

Bah! My bad, I completely misread the post and thought you were talking about Randy Savage.

For Orton I'm actually struggling to think of one that was booked well, certainly the first one was pathetic, the second was utter shit until the last couple of months of it, and I don't really remember much of the other ones.

Savage

I actually liked Savage's second reign better as well, he held it for half the time he did the first but he had more memorable matches during that time, I can't think of one big feud Savage had as the WWF champion in 1988, only when he turned heel for Hogan in 89 did he get a World Champion type feud

I do think he should have had a big feud wth Bad News Brown and The Million Dollar Man in 88 Brown was brilliant

In my opinion Orton receives a lot of harsh criticism on his reigns. Overall even though i didnt watch wrestling at the time, I have seen highlights of his first world title reign when evolution turned on him and HHH buried him at Unforgiven.
2nd reign lasted about 10 minutes - no comment
3rd reign No Mercy - Backlash 2008 - He did the UNTHINKABLE in my opinion at mania 24 when he beat hhh and cena in the triple threat. Becoming the first heel to win a world title match at mania since hhh at 19. His reign also featured other great matched including HBK, Jericho and Jeff
4th Backlash 09 - Extreme Rules. Enjoyable run. Unlucky his defences were against Batista this halted his momentum from the rumble 09 and they took the belt off of Orton way to soon.
5th Raw - Breaking Point- Good matches at the bash vs hhh, NOC he repeated his mania 24 win and at Summerslam finally getting a 1 on 1 win against Cena.
6th Reign - HIAC - Bragging Rights. I knew Orton was going to go over at HIAC but i thought the match was below the standard of their Summerslam bout. Ironman Match at Bragging Rights was good. Orton performed fantastically and was slightly the better performer out of the 2.

Overall i liked his 3rd reign best followed closely by his 1st reign.
