Ric Flair Trashes Bret Hart On Canadian Radio

During an appearance on the Live Audio Wrestling radio show in Canada, Ric Flair sounded off on fellow WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart, saying:

"He is a pissant in the history of wrestling. He has the nerve to compare himself to me. Let's get realistic. If you put Bret Hart in your left hand and me in your right hand, compare the career...who is he? I wrestled everybody in the business, for an hour each night. Harley Race, Dory Funk, Jack and Jerry Brisco, who is Bret Hart? He is a legend in his own mind. He lives in his own little world...he screws his own family around. Who is Bret Hart? In my world he is a nobody!"

The bad blood between the two apparently began in 2005 when Bret referred to Flair as "the most overrated guy in the history of the business."

Yeah. I think Flair's a bit unfair by saying that Hart has done nothing. He's wrestled a lot of the more recent greats.

Did Hart mention anything about Flair in his book? I've not read all of it yet.

Flair regards him self to highly, i lost respect for that bag of shite after he dumped on his retirement party (biggest for any wwe superstar in history) by coming back at every opportunity to beat todays young talent.

hold on a second i have fount yet another reason to hate Flair even more the list just keeps gettting bigger and bigger to be honest Bret was and always will be a much better wrestler than Flair ever will be and no matter how hard he tried he never could be better than bret that pissing him off even more that everyone puts Bret above him every time they name the greatest wrestlers ever sure he may have compete against some legends but so did Bret compete against legends and had better matches because Bret can wrestle who is flair im my mind he's a nobody who keeps saying he's retired and keeps coming back to TV saying he's wrestled his last match with HBK but wait he's fighting Orton

Is Flair angling for a comeback match with Stroke man Hart? surely not

that match would be about as good as 'swoggle vs Chavo pillow fight (which is all i can see happening to make this pointless fued worse)

It's just such a boring, pathetic thing to say, on Candian radio too.

It JUST fuckin screams out "OVER HERE! OVER HERE! NOT DEAD YET! EXHUME MY CORPSE DAMMIT!!!!".

Considering Flair has had an undeniably (overall anyway) amazing career, the fact he has to put others down to get noticed is beyond sad.

Not the first time he's done it anyway, probably wont be the last.

Wouldn't be anything to do with RoH apparently hiring Bret to be their 'Ambassador' as Flair's gone back to WWE...

I dunno, Flair was awesome back in the day, I've always thought Bret was over-rated as a main eventer. However, as there's never going to be a match between them, or even an angle for their kids to wrestle over, just screams of 2 guys trying to cling on to past glories.

I felt the match they did have worked quite well, both could have been brilliant together, did they work together in WCW?

Ayye, had a couple of matches in a short feud, they were really quite good too..

I always felt Bret was better than Flair to be honest but in the WWF while their was an emphasis on 20 minute matches in the NWA their was less talent and more emphasis on the longer matches at house shows although from reading views from people who where their the matches weren't that great, just because they where long!
