WWE Wants Robert Roode!!!!!!!!!!

What a signing that would be, TNA would need to do all they can to keep this guy, This guy is the future of the business, brilliant heel, reminds me a lot like Jake the Snake Roberts

Everytime ive ever taken the time to watch TNA ive been impressed with him, was fantastic on the mic, would be damaging to TNA im sure if he jumped ship.

Best thing about this is for the fans its win win, if he stays with TNA he might finally be given the opportunity to main event, if not then the WWE obviously have plans for him if they are seeking him out

If this is true (and from the Observer it probably has decent sources) then TNA should be very worried.
WWE seem to be launching an offensive at them at present. In the past it was TNA that nabbed the ex WWE guys but in recent times the decent guys from TNA are moving over.
R Truth, Christian, Petey Williams possibly next with Roode to follow.
If the other guys there start to feel that TNA is beginning to look a tad like the old WCW at present they also may become more approachable.
If I was Vince I'd push further and go all out for the big ones.
AJ Styles & Samoa Joe
Take them from TNA and it'll crumble.

I don't really like Samoa Joe, don't think he would do anything in the WWE either due to his look, if they had plans for somelike that then I think Umaga would be seeing the benefits of that just now

The prospect of Roode is exciting though, rumours on the forum say he would hold out to be allowed to keep his own name in WWE, which for me is a massive thing, your name is what makes you recognisable.

I can see Roode just now as the IC/US title holder with the time to establish himself at a decent rate he could be a serious main eventer in 18 months, he should be the second main event heel in TNA today behind Kurt Angle

Yes, the name needs to stay if he did move over. I agree that heel wise only Angle is better currently in TNA. The rest of the MEM don’t cut it as decent heels.
I know what you mean with Joe, he ain’t everything that people do seem to have built him up to be but for some reason he just has a huge backing.
I think what the main thing with him is that he has a certain SCSA approach.
That ‘don’t give a f**k who’s in his way, will give anyone hell on the mic’ style.
Makes people think every time he appears that something crazy could go down.
The TNA marks would fall apart if him and AJ left. For TNA they are the equivalent of Stone Cold and the Rock and it took WWE many a year to recover from their absence (only just really recovering now)

I dont want either Samoa Joe or Aj in the WWE, not because I do not rate them because I really do. The reason is because of their look I could not see Vinny Mac going and giving them the push they deserve, so it would not be a good idea for their career at all.

Roode well he is immense what can I say about him, heel wise he is the best (minus Angle) I could see him coming in now and giving it the old I am the best too good for this shit, and just being the cocky arrogant heel.

I hope this happens I really do, he is so good.

No I don't think Vince would know what to do with either AJ or Samoa Joe. Joe would probably end up burdened with another lazy wildman gimmick like Umaga or many others of Islanders origin get.
The point though would be to kill off the opposition. Head hunt their best performers and watch them sink without trace.

I don't even rate him on the mic TBH and thats where he 'excels' apparently.

I don't think Vince even looks at TNA as credible challengers, MMA is the big opposition now for Vince, I would say he should look at TNA now more as a breeding ground

I think he is excellent Marty, proper old school heel, like Ted Di Biase, Rick Rude, Jake Roberts ect...

he looks like a heel i'll give him that. and TBF he does have an 80's heels heel aura about him.

Yes he is one to watch I am a big fan of his and also he has everything he needs to make it big. TNA should push him before its too late

They wont push anyone while Russo/JJ/Mantell are obsessed with copying WCW/WWF storylines from 10 years ago.

only problem i wouldnt like to see is they put him on ECW and fire him a week later like Chris Harris then TNA wont take him back

Doubt they will, Chris Harris came off the gas and got so badly out of shape I am surprised they allowed him TV time

As the WWE are actively looking to get him then its a hint that they have something for him

I wouldn't have a problem if they put him on ECW along with another 4 or 5 names, it would be beneficial to all concerned, I'm just thinking if his contract is up in March or April he could make a run in for a debut at WrestleMania or BackLash

I haven't seen much of Roode and can't remember ever watching a promo of his but I have seen him wrestle a couple of times and he looks OK.

If he did join WWE, I think him and Mr Kennedy could make a good heel tag team, both of them are cocky, arrogant and (supposedly) good on the mic.

While I wouldn't be against seeing Samoa Joe in WWE, only if he kept his current gimmick mind, I would rather see AJ Styles come in ahead of Joe. Stick AJ Styles on ECW for a few months, along with Primo and Carlito and you could have some great, fast paced matches with the likes of Evan Bourne.

If and when Robert Roode signs with the WWE he shouldn't be put in a tag team, he is a singles star, he has proven he can do the tag team bit in he last year but he is a singles, and could be one of the best, I loved his promos against Booker when he first went to TNA

Hes still young though and i reckon that before the year is out he will be main eventing in TNA. Weather he is succsesful there or not will be the key to him joining WWE or not i think.

Im still enjoying Beer Money Inc. at the moment though so i dont want that to happen too soon
