Matt Striker Released

I enjoyed his commentary on Smackdown. They could of put him on NxT or Main Event. The Geeky Heel Coentator.

He already has another job lol

Released WWE announcer Matt Striker has already landed a job and is set to work tomorrow's Family Wrestling Entertainment FWE Rumble iPPV in Queens, New York tomorrow. Striker will be commentating the iPPV. There is no 90-day no compete clause as his contract expired.

The show will also feature Rob Van Dam in one of his few indy bookings before he returns to the WWE next month. He's set to face Tommy Dreamer.

Below is the rest of the lineup for the card:

* FWE champion Carlito will defend vs. John Morrison.

* FWE Tri-Borough champion Paul London vs. Akio (Jimmy) Yang.

* Brian Kendrick vs. Petey Williams in their first ever singles match.

* Maria Kanellis & Ivelisse Velez vs. Angelina Love & Katarina Leigh (Winter).

* The Young Bucks vs. Tony Nese & Jigsaw.

* Also appearing are Chris Masters, The Patriot, Bandido Jr., viral sensation Stone Cold E.T. and more.

Shame, I was one of about ten people who actually enjoyed his commentary. I always got the feeling he was watching as a fan, rather than a commentator. I loved his little quips for hardcore fans (describing Kaval's moves as 'Low-Key, his old indie wrestling name was great), and the time he massively marked out for Booker's return at the Rumble a couple of years ago.

Much better than Lawler, anyway.

Just realised there's one positive from this, more Renee Young on the telly, i think i love her already.
