So basically Liverpool couldn't score more than 1 in a fixed game?

Shocking to be honest, the other games apparently being looked into is our game against Otelul Gulati last year with the reason being Valencia scoring inside 10 minutes.
The other was the semi-final between Chelsea and Barcelona 4 years ago.

Too young to remember watching it now but got shown this video from the 2002 world cup.
People thought South Korea got to the semi finals by skill?

i don't think there is any (or very very little) match fixing in this country, simply because the results are so un-predictable anyway!
They are investigating matches going back 8 years. good luck!

The South Korea 2002 thing was just blatant... dire tournament all round.
This kind of thing has gone on for years, though. back in the early 90's, Villa played Inter in the UEFA cup. Villa won the first leg 2-0. Second leg was just awful. Inter won 3-0, with the last goal clearly being out of play before it was crossed for the winner.
As for it happening over here? I think it does, but nothing as blatant as losing matches. A few years back, players started booting the ball straight out of play for a throw-in from kick-off, because a bookie was offering odds on the time of the first throw-in. I think some form of spot-fixing goes on, but due to the amount of people watching the games, it'd be difficult to throw more than one game a season by purposely conceding goals.*
*- although that could explain virtually all of David James' career.

I posted the goal he conceded vs Watford on here, that must be why!

Regarding taking bets on a throw-in, matt Le Tissier has mentioned on more than one occasion about this.

iv heard le tiss mention it several times , some ex prem player recentley came out and said they made thousands extra by just losing a throw or commiting first throw or delibratley getting a booking and no one would suspect a thing

match fixing live tonight? Ref seems to be going out of his way to make it look like it's not. I.e booking two players at corners for shirt pulling etc, but somehow missing when JUST the juve player is doing it. If it's illegal when both do it, why not when it's just a juve player? It's loopy. Ignore it all, or punish it all. Weird

Wouldn't surprise me, Juve have done it quite a lot in the past few years, Celtic played well but didn't take their chances.
