- * In the latest edition of the WWE Magazine, "The Informer" character teases that there will be a musical performance at this year's Summerslam show. Here is what was posted:
"This musical act is currently in negotiations to perform at this year's Summerslam. Want a hint? He was a former American Idol runner-up."
Some of the more popular American Idol runner-ups are Clay Aiken, Bo Bice, Blake Lewis, David Archuleta, and Adam Lambert. Also, former contestant James Durbin started working with WWE for the B.A. STAR campaign this year. He finished fourth in the competition.
* "The Informer" character also teases an Olympics tie-in to the WrestleMania 30 location with the following:
"WM29 is locked in for N.J./N.Y., but plans are underway for the 30th Show of Shows. The location? Let's just say it's a city of 'Olympic' proportions."

As Sexton would say, "WEMBERLEY!"...perhaps?

| US cities that have held the Olympics:
St louis LA Atlanta Lake Placid (Winter) Squaw Valley, California (winter) Salt Lake City (Winter)
Canada:
Montreal Calgary (Winter) Vancouver (winter)
Mexico City maybe as well for another country.
So yeah doubt Vince would risk London without the UK at least holding a lesser PPV first.

| Yes but that was before the expansion of TV with PPV and things like sky etc, so viewing figures wouldn't have matterd as much.
Theres no doubt that it would be held at Wembley and could probably get 90k in for it or so once they block off one end.

So yeah doubt Vince would risk London without the UK at least holding a lesser PPV first. It won't be in Atlanta, as Georgia hosted WM 27. I hope it's not LA though. They're not reknowned for having particularly amazing crowds, are they (although its not as if that is a unique occurance for WWE events nowadays)? And don't they have almost a monopoly on hosting SummerSlam?

| Summerslam is always held in LA now it seems, they want a bit of consistency in where its held.

| I can't really see it happening but if WrestleMania 30 were in London, I'd definitely be buying a ticket.
Would there be issues though with showing it live in the US? It would make a change for the Americans to have to stay up late to watch a PPV live for once but would Vince want to risk upsetting his core audience base?
I seem to remember that Summerslam 92 was shown on a time delay but that was in the pre-internet era. I'm not sure that would work now.

There's afew problems showing Mania live in the UK. There's the obvious time issues, the cost in getting the stage and production stuff over here, and assuming it's screened live, there's always the small issue of the Mania pyro and fireworks got off over North London at 4 in the morning. The only way round it would be for them to go to the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff and put the roof on.

| It has a roof, it however doesn't cover all of the attendance even if shut, as it says people who attend concerts could still get wet. | |
