I guess enough time has past for crashing planes into buildings now then. Still it will be the one big complaint/free promo by news networks. I like the sound of new gameplay additions. Taking some things from saints row but doing it better.

just because of my epic skill when it comes to picking at flaws... That promo picture is done in the style of "silly bitches taking photos in mirrors", but it's on a beach so there would be no mirror. Thus 'the silly bitch' would be taking a photo on her phone of whatever is in front of her, not of herself, despite posing... yeah...

Good enough reason to not buy the game, I say.

They have cameras on the front and back of iphones

but the front is way too close, especially to get all of the pose in the picture. I've worked all this out

now I just did a quick google search of "posing in the mirror" just to see some examples and noticed there are a strange and eclectic mix of humans, including Gaga.

the drawing is supposed to represent the photo she is taking (in a mirror) not just be a picture of someone taking a photo of themselves. I.E if you went into your bathroom now, took a picture, like that. The picture on the phone is what you'd print out for all you junior promotional posters something I know you do often to promote yourself around town, of course

The anticipation surrounding GTA V is reaching its crescendo. The trailer is due in less than a week and GameInformer’s latest issue, complete with its usual exclusive cover reveal, has a slew of new information in it. Obviously, the cover reveal earlier today let slip that there will be three main protagonists. There’s been some speculation – and I think this would have been brilliant – that the three were Claude (GTA III), Tommy Vercetti (GTA: Vice City) and CJ (GTA: San Andreas). We now know that this isn’t the case. The three are: Michael, former bank robber who made a deal with the FBI; Trevor, a drug user and career criminal and Franklin, who runs a scam selling cars to people who can’t pay for them and then repossessing them.

The three characters can be switched between outside of missions at any time, although once in a mission it’s only at key points. Each will have their own family and circle of friends, along with distinct minigames and side missions.

We also know that the area of Los Santos is the biggest that Rockstar has yet created. However, according to art director Aaron Garbut, the play area, including all interior and exterior spaces, is bigger than Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV and San Andreas combined, with a bit left over. They’ve even mapped out some of the ocean floor along the beach so you can explore under the sea too, although it’s not clear how useful this will be.

That’s huge but thankfully, the diverse regions and environments around this recreation of Los Angeles can be navigated with a variety of modes of transport. There are BMX and mountain bikes as well as road and dirt motorbikes, the usual large selection of cars, vans and trucks, jetskis, helicopters and planes.

As usual, they’re planning a load of side activities including scuba diving, bowling and comedy clubs. Also familiar will be a few of the faces from GTA IV that will make an appearance. Dan Houser says that the car handling is much improved, with vehicles holding the road better. He wants it to fill the role of a high level racing game much more than previous outings, on top of everything else.

Another piece of good news is that they’re refining the phone in the game and you won’t be inundated with insufferable calls from in-game friends.

More complex side missions and activities similar to Red Dead. "It's better to have one really good mini game than five half-assed ones that aren't fun".

Improved shooting mechanics
Refined melee combat
Vibrant in-game economy (but no buying property)

Thats going to be one big map.

Thank Christ for that, I found GTA4 pretty much unplayable cos of the driving.

red dead was fucking huge on it's own, and had alot of empty space. A city will not be at all empty, so this will be utterly mad compared to any game that's ever been out. Sounds like michael will have a good classic story, as whoever he sold out to the fbi will surely be a key part of it, forcing him to turn to crime once more.

Unsure on how character change will work, as you want to get stuck into one main story. I think it would be better if it auto changed at the most appropriate time, so you don't get too far on one character then have to go back to easier and more boring missions with someone else.

Heist sounds good, planning a robbery could be interesting. And I still hope with such a big map smuggling will be involved, as it mentions planes.
