- Sting defeated Mr. Anderson at tonight's Impact Wrestling taping in Orlando, Florida to reclaim the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
Sting lost the strap last month at Slammiversary IX, following outside interference from Eric Bischoff. He invoked his rematch clause for this Thursday's episode of Impact Wrestling, which is being branded as "A Midsummer's Nightmare."
The victory marks as Sting's fifth World Heavyweight Championship reign in TNA Wrestling, and fifteenth overall. WTF is the point, really?

| I just thought of something.
They're going to have Hogan/Sting for the title at BFG, maybe?
Please no. | |

| Atcually this is a good thing as TNA should be building up non-WWE names more and Sting must be the only big name legend to have never wrestled in WWE who everyone recognises his name, so it makes sense to have him win the title more often and also he's good at putting people over, so keep the belt on Sting and make him look like the Undertaker (ie; good for his age) then have him lose the title at BFG to the tournament winner who will hopefully be either Crimson, Gunner or AJ Styles, all of which are not from WWE and would gain more from beating Sting than beating Anderson.
Say what you like about WWE, but they know how to look after there own homegrown talent like Cena and Orton whilst those big names from other places like Daniel Bryan just hover round the mid-card, whilst at the same time TNA has AJ and Joe in the mid-card (don't get me started on how they are using Joe) whilst ex-WWE types who wouldn't even look twice at TNA if they didn't get sacked from WWE, dominate the mainevent scene in TNA.
Seriously TNA stop trying to get WWE fans to watch as it's not working, so focus more on your current fans who 80% are anti-WWE/bitter WCW fans.

| But whats the point in having Anderson defeat him then a couple of weeks later have him win it back on iMPACT! a pre taped show. | |

| Build Anderson up a bit? Shut him up? Your guess is as good as mine.
All I know is that the majority of TNA fans are old WCW fans, so making Sting like a TNA equivilent of Cena makes sense.
