Vidzone? Unlikely. PlayTV, possibly, but that doesn’t stream movies that wouldn’t normally be classified as TV.

The other jobs are for a C/C++ Engineer and a JavaScript Developer, all of which specifically mention a “movie/TV streaming application for PlayStation 3″ except the C/C++ programmer, which just states “video”.

All the roles are with SCEE’s Research and Development group, suggesting whatever this is, it’s potentially some way away.

As ever, during the maintenance, users will be unable to access the PS Store, account management and account registration, plus log-ins via us.playstation.com will be unavailable.

Any trophies you earn during maintenence will be added to your ID once everything is up and running again.
