Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms arrested!

TWO WWE superstars have been arrested after police accused them of being "extremely intoxicated" in a public place.
Former WWE world champion Chris Jericho and Gregory 'Hurricane' Helms were picked up by cops at a petrol station in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

American gossip website TMZ report that Jericho, 39, and Helms, 35, were taken into custody in Kenton County, Kentucky, at around 5am for "alcohol intoxication in a public place."

They were questioned, photographed and then released on bail for £75 ($120).

It is expected the pair will receive a small fine.

Although Jericho and Helms were at a petrol station when the incident took place, there is no suggestion that either were driving.

WWE and the two men involved have so far failed to comment on the incident.

That's made my day that has. I think the smirk on Jericho's face says it all. I can't see Jericho being punished too much but Helms might be with him being lower down on the card.

Matt Hardy is even an afterthought in real life stories.

Jericho was just showing that he's the best in the world at what he does, unfortunately for him, what he was doing is getting bladderd.

As for Helms, that really is no way for a superhero to behave.

helms is no longer listed in the royal rumble participants, so i guess thats his punishment

If Helms didn't have a prescription for the drug like he claimed and even though the police aren't charging him for it, WWE would be forced to suspend him for 60 days on his second Wellness violation. WWE's current policy says that every prescription a wrestler has is supposed to be filed ahead of time with Dr. David Black. All prescriptions are supposed to be written by the company doctors who travel with the WWE crew. Helms has a previous violation against him for his name coming up in the Signature Pharmacy scandal in 2007 and has never failed a WWE drug test.

There has been a lot of talk backstage regarding Helms' future with WWE after the incident. Based on the success of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view which he was pulled from, Helms missed out on a payoff from the show that would have been around $5,000.

It's said that Helms was apologetic to WWE officials for the incident.

I'm not sure Helms cares to be honest, I think he'd rather jump to TNA with Jeff and Shannon. That's if the rumors are supposed to be true.
